Does your 55 have a center bracket across the top of the tank? If so you might look to see if some different LED options might be able to be mounted under that support. It would keep your clean look going and the light would be centered in your tank. I am afraid with only 1 light your gonna get that spot light affect. You could make a bracket that ran the length of the tank and it would allow you to do the same kind of mount where you hide it underneath. This would allow for a couple of lights to be placed equally apart. I have 3 pairs of LEDs across my tank that is 4 feet long. I use a moonlight controller that gives me the full phases of the moon so I need that many lights to pull that off. Butt with the 3 pairs equally spread in 1/3 I get a very nice even light through the tank. Dont know if any of that makes since but I cant sleep and just thought that may allow you to have lights and not have a lot of fixtures you have to look at.
BTW where is that dang FISH! Yesterday was FRIDAY!!
I say if she doenst buy a fish this week we all mail her one!
well, I did mean next friday. But, I think I can afford a $4 chromis. LOL
I was actually looking at this. It's called Moontube. I am not sure how much of the tank one tube will actually cover, it doesn't describe it online. But it has the moon phases. It's about $45. I can make my own "fixture" to go behind my T5 fixture
