Do you have any source you can read from about them? Reviews and such? Thats what I used to decide on the site I sent you. I got some "hey you should try these people". If you can get some good references then I think you then just have to go for it at some point. Im glad I used the people I used.

I finally was able to build my stand! It came out great. I am waiting on the glue to dry and then I am going up to the store to buy the plywood. Here are some pictures

the finished frame

I just ordered 90lbs of LR from the website you suggested Gill. I can't wait to get it in, it will be delivered on Thursday. Guess I better be getting water in this tank soon. lol

Thanks! I am so excited about getting the LR in. It'll give me something to look at instead of an empty tank. Lol. thanks for the referral to that place.

What LFS do you use Jess?
well, i go to 3 different ones. Lol. what side of town are you on? There is one on blanding near middleburg right past College. There is one on Atlantic and there is one in the shopping center at Blanding/Wilson. I really like the one on blanding past college. They are very nice there. The lady who owns the store on blanding/wilson hovers too much. lol. The one on Atlantic seems to always have young young kids working there. Let me know if you want names

I also go to Jolly's on Blanding. Faye can hover at times, lol. My favorite is Bio Reef off Beach Blvd. Everyone really knows their stuff. Atlantic store always seems overpriced to me. Ever been to Bio Reef?

I dont know how much water to buy...I don't want to fill the tank and then have it overflow on me as I am putting the rocks in.

hopefully someone at the LFS will have somewhat of an idea. Now...how to transfer all this water to my house.

The first chance you get I would buy a RODI unit. I know more $$$$$ but you gave up on liking money when you got into this hobby. Ill tell you what will happen. Your gonna need some water at a time when you cant get any and your gonna pull your hair out worried. I love my RODI. If I didnt have it I would have been in even a bigger mess today when my sump cracked! SHEESH!!
As far as the displacement for the rocks. Its gonna be hard for them to give you a good idea as the rocks very in size. You see it really depends on the size of the rock and not the weight. Imagine a base ball made out of rock and one made out of hollow plastic. They both would displace the same amount of water even though the rock would be heavier. If you dont fill your sump and put your rock in the tank first then fill it you can probably manage ok. I would suggest you buy more than you need and keep what you dont use for top off water. That sucker will burn about a 1 gallon a day or so and you do the math. Thats why your gonna want a RODI very soon.
Keep us posted.
