A couple photos of my Yashia goby and Randalli pistol shrimp. Cleaning out their burrow before they bury themselves back under the rock. This was taken with flash and tank lights out. Last picture is my cleaner shrimp. First time he ever sat still long enough to take a nice photo.

I have to buy a camera so I can add some picture's, sorry but all my money is going toward the tank right now! looking forward to chatting with you soon about the tank's!

Hey anybody know anything about live aragonite? I just set-up my tank today and the pet shop said I don't have to wait for the "cycle" because I used this substrate. Is this true? I don't want to kill any fish. It's been year's since I had salt water but I do remember that whole cycle period thing. Also I don't have any experiance with coral's so any advice would be great! thank's

Looking very nice now. Glad that your conch helped your substrate. Honestly with an extra PH it won't be too much flow (at least not the one you are thinking about). Think how much flow and current they would encounter in the ocean. It is healthy for our fish to have a constant but varying current, it keeps them lean and active. I like your fire/ice zoos. Mine grow like CRAZY you will like them alot I think. Nice pics also!

I recommend starting yourself a thread so we can all see your progess and help as much as possible. You will still need to do a cycle no matter what substrate you put in if you have LR. All live rock will have some die off in it and you will need to gain all the beneficial nitrifying bacteria in the sand. I would not take any advice from your LFS if they said you will have no cycle just from using your LS. Welcome to the boards!!!

This site is driving me crazy!!! I posted a question yesterday and now cannot find the "thread"? where I asked the question
How the hell do you find where you were? I keep finding place's where I have already been. I think I can learn allot from everybody, but I just can't figure out how to communicate. If anybody wants to help please e-mail me at nwdyr@aol.com thank you!!!!!

Peef, Thanks for the comments. What is the Fire & Ice zoos ? lol. I been trying to find out the names of my zoos but i am having difficult times. I just bought these zoo rocks and they didnt have any names of the zoos. At my lfs they just sell em as is pretty much. Not really care about the name thing.
Which i am super happy about because i get incredible deals.
Also lbaskball, My twin spot gobies, I bought i think maybe 3 of them and they all perished unfortunately. But i have had great success so far with my Yashia goby and Randalli Pistol shrimp :) The goby seems to have alot of fights with the Orchid. He picks on everything even the 2 clowns, snails whatever is moving the orchid picks on. But my goby just chills under the rock and minds his own with his shrimp buddy. But hey if you looking to get a goby for stirring up the sand i would just recommend a Fighting conch. I have 1 in my 10 gal and my 24 gal and they WORK WONDERSSS ! Literally. Even catch them sometimes climbing and cleaning the glass. But they have made my sand whiteeeee. Well sorry for the long post.

Hi everyone,
Just added my first fish today, actually 2 clown's. They are very happy and eating already. They were tank raised I heard that is better?
Has anyone ever bought Lr from a site call Dr.Foster & Smith? there prices are good but I wonder about Quality. I bought my 24gal jbj nano and stand from them for only 250.00 delivered! Great prices, but just never ordered live from them. Any advice would be great! Thanks,
