Nothing on the 75 yet. Im going to let it ride until tuesday as that is when he usually emails back it seems. He told me he was going to a store (that Icant mention because of the site rules), which is out of state this weekend (today), so maybe hes out..but he was here before then so he should have emailed me back before then. Ill see by tuesday.

Man with the 75g never wrote back. As expected. The man with the 50g re-emailed me and told me he would drop his price. Its $150. This is what he said in the new post:
"I am selling the following - All for $150
50 Breeder (36inx18inx18in) - 6 inches wider/deeper than the standard aquarium, this is not a 40 breeder, it is 2 inches taller.
Heavy Duty Plywood/Metal Modular Stand
29 AGA Aquarium - Used as a sump w/ baffles
Also Includes:
ALL Plumbing - it is plumbed to be removable w/ unions
36" Fluroscent Light
Glass Tops

are the extras included in the price? or do you have to pay extra for that stuff. If I were you, I would try to talk him into throwing some of those things in the deal as well. that's if you get this tank. Remember!! It's your decision, we dont wanna feel bad for talking you into this tank and then you want a bigger one or a different one down the road.
IMO it sounds like an opportunity to get a nice deal though. I hope it all works out for you and we can get this thread under way!

I think that I just may get it. If so, it wouldnt be until this weekend or early in the week next week as my entire family, including myself, is currently ill. After getting this tank brought home, I will be selling my 55 set up and maybe my cichlid tank so that money will go towards completing this set up.

Hey everyone! Im back!
Well, long story short, the deal with the 50g fell through. Myself and entire immediate family was struck ill after contact with the seller and, while we were ill, he sold the tank. Since then, we have encountered alot of family issues that had to be dealt with, we have since moved, etc. There has been a lot going on around these parts. Either way, Im back now.
Now I am remotely settled in and am back on the hunt.
News: This build could potentially get alot bigger. I have found a tank on Craigslist. It is 135g (I know, much bigger than the original 75g. Everything would have to be rethought, etc). I wanted to see what everyone thought of the deal. It is a 135g tank (72x18x24) and comes with all plumbing and a sump. It is not drilled, but if I do get this, I will more than likely have it drilled. They were originally asking $300, but said they really need it out of their garage, so are willing to negotiate the price. No stand, but that's an easy fix.
So, what do you think?

So, with everything included, not too shabby I think. The updated price is $225 for everything. A little stain, a clean down, black paint, and a stand and I think we're good to go!

I havent quite yet. I live in Maryland and weve been pounded with about 4.5' of snow in the past week. Its been a madhouse around here. I havent been much out of the house and I think I just may be going crazy. haha
PLUS!
A man contacted me yesterday. He has a 150g tank with two overflows, canopy, lights, and stand. He wants $300 for the lot. I am going to look at that one monday or so, once my street is dug out. If any way possible, I will be getting the 150 instead of the 135. Here is a picture of that one:
