wow Scott, everything looks good! Just asking here but do you really need all that flow? You have some big PH's in there? You would think it's like a tsunami in there or the E.A.C.
I dunno I had asked if it was going to be too much in the tank. Might just try it with 3 for now one on the back panel in the middle, and then the 2 on the sides and see how it works out.

Meowzer beat me to it, I was going to suggest turning off some of the powerheads as well.
Looks good Scott!
Thanks TommieLynn, I am very happy at how it looks. Cant wait for it to be Cycled though. Just want to be able to sit and enjoy it with critters in there.

Thats how i have my bowfront tank set up scott...im thinkin only 2 would be enough for my 75 though....two out front pointing right at each other! Prob do the 750s as well! Im only going with one return however...hopefully ill split it so i can point one down the back and one up front to help with the turbulence of the two powerheads....
just my thoghts!

I think That I am going to try the 3 of them instead of 4, since I turned the other 2 off the tank has cleared up more. There are 2 returns going to my tank both sides are split in to 2 one down the back of the tank and one down the side. Each one of the Y's as you could say are 7" long. Here is a picture of what the returns look like and a pic of the tank. What does everyone else feel about there being 4 750 Korailas in the tank? Do you think its too much flow and I should only go with 3 of them, or as others have suggest only 2 of the?
The Return and how it is split:

Here is a pic of the tank tonight:

That tells me it was the positioning.....which 2 did you turn off?
The 2 on the back wall are the ones that I turned off the 2 on the side are still on. Do you think I should only go with 3 of them and place one on the back wall crashing into the current of the 2 in the front? Or if I only go with 3 of the will it now be enough flow?

OK will do that, The tank is staying at a stead 76 degrees, and 1.025 on the SG, so I hope that everything is going to go well. Had the shrimp in there for 3 days, think it might be time to check and see if I have an ammonia spike yet maybe?

Yeah I am going to check on all that here after I eat. I keep my QT at 1.025 also, so it isnt going to much of a shock to the fish when they get moved from the QT to the DT. I have thought about bumping the temp up to 77 deg. but I think for now I will just leave it along and let the tank cycle..

Yup you are letting the tank cycle. You just have to do the minimum to get it there. Save the money on electricity bills for later. I am keeping my sg at 1.022 while cycling. I normally keep at 1.025 (QT is at 1.009 right now , fighting off ick).
Everything looks good so far!

OK. I do Think that having the 4 Koralia 750's is a bit much I think that I might just go with 3 for now, unless others think that wont be enough flow for the tank. I have estimated that I am losing about 1 gal of water a day due to evaporation, or almost a gal. The tank has cleared up nicely since I shut off 2 of the power heads. Just took the raw shrimp out of the tank tonight. Here are a few pics of what the tank looks like tonight.

Looks good. I'd say just keep the two on for now while the tank cycles. Once you get a good bio film covering everything you may be able to turn the other two back on with out creating a sand storm.

Thanks Corey, yeah I thats what others have suggested. I am just glad that the tank is clear now, it is much better to look at then a cloudy tank. This weekend there are a few spots on the back of the tank that I have to touch up with paint from the leak. My stepfather rubbed the back when I told him to pat where the water had leaked and he rubbed the paint right off. lol so that is going to be my project for the weekend and maybe see what I can do about getting the bigger pump back in the sump.

Just 2 pieces that I had in My QT tank and I still have one small piece in the QT, there is about 90# of rock in the tank if you can believe that its because lots are big pieces. you thin I should add more rock to the tank?
No, I was just curious if you did. I think I remember you saying that you were going to add 20 lbs of live rock. Have you tested your parameters to see how the tank is cycling.
