You will be happy with the sunpod. That would have been my next choice behind the solana pendant. I will be getting a sunpod at some point here for my Biocube, looking forward to seeing it on your tank.

So I tested my water today, and these were the results
Salinity: 1.026
PH: 8.0
KH: 14
Ammonia: 0
Nitrites: < 0.3ppm
Nitrates 0
Calcium: 350ppm
I went to my lfs and had it done. I also bought 13 more pounds of LR. I will post pictures when I break it up and aquascape
I have to wait until my boyfriend comes back from his trip before I do any other drastic changes oh and spend more money

crank that calcium.. it'll drop the KH alittle too and get it around 12dKH.. You want that coralline growth to take off quickly lol..
calcium at 450ppm, KH at 12dKH, pH 8.3-8.4, Mag at 1350 will make coralline grow crazy fast.. same with stony corals lol.

I just dosed my tank with Calcium last night. I will be doing it again next week. I started my tank up on Monday the 1st, should I put a raw shrimp in to spike the ammonia?

looks like the nitrites are already spiking... so the ammonia should have already passed. nitrates should be spiking next with a zeroing out of the nitrites..

I'm still calling a plate. Do a macro picture on it. Does it have any skeleton at the base?

Yep I believe it has a skeleton. I found another close by it and they both seem to be doing fine. It also looks like they have grown a little.

yeah... you gotta mod it... now get ready to drop a grand on a calcium&kalk reactor... ROFL... j/k
You wouldn't need a calcium reactor unless that thing was stuffed with SPS...

LOL right? you do one thing and you need to Remap that damn car.... nah I just use the legs and sit it on the glass. I am running the 150W sunpod but I changed the bulb to 20k not the 14k I like the blue tone better.
I would take out the Big blue bio balls but leave the small red ones in, the small red ones are always underwater and they help with the micro bubbles so where the big blue balls are just replace them with live rock rubble.
I leave the glass top off because its a pain in the a.. to move the lights and then take off the glass then put the lights back on to do anything in the tank so i don't mind topping it off every two days. Also it will take you a bit to get the skimmer just right its easy to make it run real wet.
besides that I don't think you will need to mod the tank or anything.
Oh! I don't know where you set up your tank but you should leave enough room so you can look behind the tank so if something funny happens you can see if its in the back of it. I put mine next to a wall I wish i didn't I have to use a mirror now.

Hmmm my tank did not come with the blue bio balls,
it only came with 4 bags of the little red ones. I am also having a hard time adjusting the skimmer to the right height. I guess I will go get some lr rubble to put in the back.
