so is the Koralia 1 recommended over the Koralia Nano for your 24 tank? I'm getting the 24 too and looking for a recommended powerhead.

For sure

Uses the same amount of energy but the 1 has more output and can also be adjusted more, meaning you can twist it or angle it more than the nano which barely moves.

I'm reading a lot about my modding my aquapod, looks like a lot of work and research is ahead of me. Yeah the Korailia looks pretty useful!

well i just created a new thread so i wont hijack yours, but replacing stock pump, better lighting, new fans, water flow. Still researching to see which ones i would like to do. One of the links i found a guy went all out, i was surprised the AP could do all he did. I'm sure there are similar mods for the nanocube you might be interested in.

Well only Mods(upgrades) ive done so far is I took out the Bio balls, carbon and rings out the back and added Chemi pure elite, a wad of chaeto and clip on light. Also as you know i added a korila 1 and i got a 150w MH sunpod light.
Possibly will upgrade pump like you plan. Let me know what one you go with

Is a 25w Clip on light a bit much for the back? Seems it gets quite hot..

yea it is. it will kinda heat your tank a little. try those deco tank lights. thats what im using. 7watts 7200k pretty sick. and my mangrove and chaeto are growing

where did you get your light? my LFS and home depot didnt have anything like it... All i could find was what i got. Only $9 tho

thats good. you can try a water proof light. or even like 5 leds to grow chaeto. do you know the deco tank? that are like 1g? ask them if they can sell you just the light? or any other fish tank light thats under 10 watts
