Scotts, I have been really tied up with kid's sports, and doing a lot of camping with the scouts. What few times I have logged on, I see the site has changed yet again. I didn't have time right then to sift thru all the changes so I just logged off.

When are you going to post some more pictures of your tank? Dang that camping trips with scouts.

stdreb, you are starting to sound like scotts

I think the only thing I had to finish up with on the thread was the chiller, then some final shots. I have been trying to fill it up a little more before then. I put a good dent in it this past week with some more Bangaii, a couple of athias, and a pink/red anenome though.

Yea, I also like Wally's and Kyle's overreaction to the officials. You really only have to watch so many races to know that only the guys in the safety truck deal with the car. I'm actually pretty sure those officials can't even go on the track?

Knight, I hear ya. I was thinking the same thing as I watched it. What ever happened to safety first? Make sure the dude is OK first, THEN put out the fire in the car.

Hey Spidey....not sure if you can get a copy of today's News & Observer (Raleigh edition), but there is a great article in the sports section today about the Red Bull Team, AJ & Brian. Article states that the team has "unlimited financial resources", and goes into detail about the hiring of GM Jay Frye.

WOW, it's true, they have unlimited financial resources because of their owner is the owner of the whole Red Bull empire and he is mildly said *filthy rich*. He has stated that as soon as the team starts showing good results, he has no problem investing as much as is needed to make these winning teams.
Would it be possible for you to get me 2 copies of the magazine and send them to me? I can PM you my address.

someone should tell might as well start now. He (the redbull guy) spends ALOT of money on race teams. I was watching le mans (not the pregnancy thing) and saw a couple redbull cars there too, he has 3 in nascar right? And I remember seeing a couple indy cars too. Guys a racing addict.

He has 1 Nascar team with 2 cars, he sponsors a Formula 1 team with 2 cars, has many different extreme sports teams, motocross teams etc. He is all about extreme sports! Also he owns (from what I've heard) a ton of airplains (very old and new) and he loves to fly them. Someone said last year that don't ever be surprised if he shows up to a race without telling anybody. He'll just take one of his planes and flies in. He does watch every single Nascar race, no matter where in the world he is. Pretty amazing. He has visited the shop twice and met everybody.

Insider info: another F1 driver visited the garage area today, driving Toro Rosso (2nd team sponsored by Red Bull)... Mr Jarno Trulli. I wonder if that means that he is looking into coming to Nascar... I just thought that was pretty interesting. Hubby didn't get an autograph and I told him to run after Jarno... hehe. I'm such a gearhead.

OK. I flipped over to the U.S. Open for a while, came back to watch the finish, and saw Jr. win by the skin of his teeth. What I want to know is why Vickers was so mad. He said something about having a 7 second lead, then because of the white/checker finish, NASCAR told him to back down or get black flagged? Not sure of the exact statement, but it sounded like he felt NASCAR stole the race from him.
