I think Obama should pardon Ohio St., let them leap frog either Alabama or Georgia, and see how well they match up with Notre Dame for the BCS Championship.

Ohio shot themselves in the foot. "Yes, yes, please let us play in the bowl game this year and we'll come back for our senior year and serve the penalty". Had they taken their medicine last year they'd be playing for the title this year. Prior got his penalty, he's riding the bench for the Raiders LOL! I Can't believe the blatant double standard the NCAA applied in this case considering what they did to USC for only one student doing the same thing.

The funny part, is that Alabama for sure, and probably Georgia as well, are both better teams than Notre Dame AND Ohio State. Sometimes being in the SEC hurts, cause you have to play each other, while lesser conferences skate on a much, much easier schedule. Although give ND credit, they played a tough schedule this year for sure...

Won't I don't like is how a quality team could potentially still get knocked out of the BCS Championship because they have to play another game for their Conference Title. Look at Alabama and Georgia. They have to play one another for the SEC Championship. So one will end up on the outside looking in simply because of an after-season game. Notre Dame being Independent doesn't have to play in a post-season conference game, so they're just sitting back looking pretty waiting for the fallout. I don't believe these conference games should be used to factor in who gets to play in the "Big Show". Let the teams final stats for the regular season be the determining factor.

LOL! Yeah, if SEC teams didn't schedule minor conference rent a victims all the time. I think all teams should have to play 9 conference opponents and at least one team from a BCS conference in their OOC schedule to be bowl eligible. It's pretty absurd to see a team get eligible with 6 wins when 4 of them were against teams from the old division 2 teams.

This year ND benefits from no conference championship game. But if we ended up with 3 undefeated teams ND would be on the outside looking in based on no having the extra game in their schedule. We went through this in 2004 when Oklahoma lost the conference title game and still went to the NC game. If you can't win your own conference there is no way you should be in the big game.

That can be true, but a team shouldn't get a free pass to the BCS by benefitting not having to play one extra game post season. 2014 couldn't come sooner. Hopefully this initial "semi playoff" system they have planned should weed out some of the controversies of the past.

As long as the four are voted on there will be controversy.

Every ESPN Person is Screaming that a Team from the MAC aka Northern IL University had the Record and the Balls to get into a BCS Bowl over a Team like Oklahoma or Iowa or even South Carolina. Sorry the BCS does not stand for the SEC or ACC or Big 12 redo Series. NIU Earned this by Being Ranked and also Playing a Tougher Schedule than you think. Their Only Loss was to Iowa by only 1 Point their Average Margin of Victory against all their Teams is 22 Points. They also are going into this with True Student Athletes not Players that are getting Degrees in how to watch TV.

Dude, they played 4 teams with winning records. Of the remaining 8 teams 3 had one win and 2 had two wins. That Iowa team that beat them went 4-8 and was 2-6 in their division. This team is going to get massacred.

You know, Florida State obviously has a HUGE advantage in the talent department of this game. But you have to wonder about motivation. I picture it like this. Florida State is The Beatles, and they're used to playing Madison Square Garden. Now, they're being asked to play Bob's corner bar. How good do you think that show is going to be?

Between the New Years celebration and the upset I doubt we hear from the kid for a couple days LOL!
LSU gets lucky, a lot. I missed this game so I can't say who played good or bad but I've never seen a team that gets lucky like LSU has under Miles.
