NCAA Football

This is why thankfully the four team playoff will fix the issue. But if I know the BCS, they will find some way to screw that up too! We'll see!

Yeah, I think you're right. Give six guaranteed spots from BCS conferences, and then two at large bids from ANY conference. But that's a pipe dream sadly...

Interesting day so far. Notre Dame is in trouble, A&M showed just how undeserving Miss State was of it's ranking and Florida appears to have been way overrated. 3 more games tonight among top ranked teams that should be good. I think I better change the batteries in the remote.

Gig Em, Aggies! I think the A&M/Alabama point spread will go down next week. Even Lou Holtz is giving the Aggies a shot at an upset.

Nooooo! I can't believe Pitt missed that field goal for the win! It's bad enough the refs made that homey call on the pass interference that gave Notre Dame that one touchdown, but Pitt is just imploding at the end of this game..

LSU isn't making any headway right now. Bama just scored again.
The Oregon/USC game is a barn burner!
Yeah. looks like LSU is running out of gas. USC needs a coach. This game has been somewhat better but last week was the worst coached game I've seen from SC in a lot of years.

I agree a couple of those decisions weren't terribly bright IMO.......Definitely a good game though.....

Bama's only speed bump now is A&M. The Texas boys might luck out from a emotional letdown following this game but all things being equal I think Bama will hit the SEC title game undefeated. Should be them and Georgia.

So should Oregon jump Notre Dame in the BCS standings? Notre Dame took 3 OT's (and had a heck of a lot of luck) to beat an unranked Pittsburgh. At least Oregon beat a Top 25 team.

They should but I don't think they will. Oregon is already 2 in both human polls. They'll gain some ground in the computers but not sure it will be enough.

By the hair of their chiny chin chin. Gonna be interesting. Notre Dame needs to turn up the heat if they want a shot at the big game. Oregon controls their own future. Their remaining schedule should get them to so close to first in the computers their number 2 in the humans will pull them through. Notre Dame and K State need Oregon and Bama to have a couple of crappy games or a loss.

Yeah it looks to me like Alabama basically locked up it's trip to the title game by beating LSU. Even if they lost a very, very close game in the SEC title game, I could see them still getting in over Notre Dame for sure, and probably KState as well. Oregon is in the drivers seat in my opinion. If they win out, and keep putting up ridiculous numbers offensively, they will more than likely lock up the #2, or possibly #1 if Alabama slips up.

If bama loses the SEC title game they will never be placed in the NC game over an undefeated team. They changed the formula after the Oklahoma travesty of 04' to prevent that from happening again.

I'm predicting a Oregon/KC State NC game. Odds makers still don't think A&M can beat Alabama, but I think they'll keep it close enough that it may have the same effects that the Pitt game had on Notre Dame.
