I thought marine grade only applied to plywood since all that was in question was the adhesive used in between plys. Did you mean treated?
Nope, did not know that marine grade only applied to plywood. Thank you for that clarification.
Good idea about the sealing and tiling oceana.

I don't want to seem critical, but wth that dark lining and all those returns agitating the water at the surface, how are you going to see anything in the tank?

the 1500 watts of halide oevr the top will help with that.
the surrface aggitation will be brought down when we are in the room looking in the tank.

Should have said something the other day. I got my RO/DI tweaked to about 200 GPD.
I filled my tank in 26 hours.

Wow, this is one of the coolest builds i have seen so far. I do have a question though. What will you do if you tile over the wood and have to replace the liner? I know you can just repair small damaged spots but what if something really nasty happens. Just curious

before or after i after i finish crying?? lol
J/K the top rail will have the mounting screw left uncovered. this way i can just unscrew it. pull it off and i can replace the whole liner is i have to.
the screws will be covered by removable peices to hide them the rest of the time.

Looken good! What fish are you planning to keep in it?

the only fish i will have will be a few large tangs. i have always wanted a nice long tank to see them zip back and forth in. i will have a sailfin and a ??
much of it will be for a frag system and the other half will be a mixed reef.

How do you "tweak" an RO/DI Unit? Curious minds want to know.

Booster pump to get it to 90-100 PSI after the first 2 filter stages, then run the waste line from the RO membrane through another RO membrane. Good water from both RO through the DI resin.
