I thought that I would post a video of Clyde, Crush's cousin. Clyde is in the QT tank waiting for the move to the Octo tank. Click on the photo to view the video.

Goodwin...Clyde is so beautiful, I'm sure she's a clydine or clydella...look at how gracefully she moves! I'm curious too, can you keep two in the same tank? That would be so cool...did you see the threads a while back. Someone was trying to figure out how to make a tank secure for an octopus...I told them to search your threads but I don't know if they ever did.

I have been told that you shouldn't have 2 in the same tank. That is the reason I had the removeable divider put in the octopus tank. Once CRUSH is in his side and stays put, I am going to put Clyde on the other. (At least that is the plan) I wish I could have gotten more video of Clyde "walking" on the bottom. Really neat! Clyde is real fond of hermit crabs. Gets them before I can get the camera rolling. I'll get a picture of his den for you to see.

Inspired by the pictures of CAZ2022, I thought that I would see what Clyde would do with a crab in a small container. 2 different occasions, Clyde went after the container only to pull back from it. After 4 hours, Clyde still hadn't gotten the crab out of the container, Clyde had eaten 2 other crabs earlier. so maybe he wasn''t hungry enough to work at it. I will give it another try today and see if he has any better luck

It took Vigo a few days to figure out the jar. He pulled away the first few times too,I could almost hear him say "what the f**k?!!" He used to try to jump right on the crab, now he knows to go after the lid. I see that your using tupperware,it might be to tight of a fit. I use a babyfood jar with the lid from an old fishfood container. If you really wnt to fire him up
,poke a few holes in the lid so he can get an arm in but, can't get the crab out.
Heres a couple more of him going after the lid.
Goodwin9-how do you go about uploading your video's?

photobucket.com , setup an account (free) and you can upload and store photos or videos. Would love to see a video of your octopus with the jar. Wish I could find one, (a jar with a screw on lid) around the house, neither octopus is having much luck with the tupperware.

Yes Vigo has figured out the jar. I'm in the process of setting up a habitrail maze (those colorful hamster tubes) to see if he can figure it out.
