Well my plazma 5 yr old TV decided to not have any picture..so I have to buy a TV now. (Yes I had it looked at) So that big check from the snowstorm is going to go for my horses and another big screen TV..my mother thought I would hold off on the horses..NOT.
Pony day is the 28th of this month, a Monday. I already talked to a Lady nearby who sells Erectus, so I can go pick ut my horses myself. She live an hour away. It is going to be a very LONG week

LOL...I'm planning on getting both. An LCD is cheaper than a plasma, and frankly if it won't last more than 5 years I won't be spending thousands for another one. I know it played nearly 24/7 but so did my little box TVs and they lasted 10 to 15 years.
It's a toss away society now but not a those prices. I have to make sure whatever I get fits on that hanging gizmo thing. The plasma was 47" with speakers on the sides, so an LCD 52" might fit on the same wall space...I will be sure to measure.
It really sucks, it was the only TV in the house and for now we can only watch netflix or rented video on the computers. I had no idea how hooked on TV we are.

Yeah they make nothing that lasts these years....I happen to really like the lcds anyway
No nothing lasts like it used to. My first VHS player lasted for 12 years. Then they wentt $50.00 and you replace it each year. I had a 19" LCD in my bedroom, if you were not looking dead on, it had a messed up picture. I got rid of it beause I seldom watch TV in my room. Screen quality was why I purchased a plasma. However my friend has a 36" LCD and the picture looks fine, maybe it's just the smaller ones. Either way it's way cheaper and I will be going that route.
I will be getting my horses FIRST, I might have to add a few hundred on a credit card to complete the TV price if it's more than $800.00..They have allot of sales going on right now, I should be able to swing it.

32" is too small, but I'm glad to hear there are no issues with picture quality. The 36" my friend has was my mothers first, it's 3 years old. I'm sure I can find a 47" - 52" LCD to suite me. I will try Best buy first.

LOL I'm actually getting better at unplugging from the box. We're still planning on moving, and we have 3 TVs we're not taking. They're all old style tube tvs, and even though they're big we just figured it was time for them to go. Selling all three, and we MIGHT get a 47 inch LCD to replace them. No TV in the bedroom anymore. And if we're short on funds, we may just say no TV at all for a while and put the 110g tank where a TV would go in a living room!
Internet, now.......I'm totally hooked. Can't go a day without SOME internet fix. ;-)

omg, we have 6 tvs in out home. lol and 5 computers. I dont know what I would do if I had to watch kids play video games and or cartoons all day. Oh well, I also make them go outside and play for a while, so I guess all is good. My 5 yr old like this kids program called Dino Dan and can name 8 differant dinos by name, what they eat and how they move. its so funny to watch him.

LOL..Now I don't feel so bad. It's just me and Mom here and we have our own computers, I have a laptop besides....because I too must be able to get on the internet. We have U-verse TV and we watch Judge Judy all the time. Also I get netflix. There just doesn't seem to be anything else on I want to watch.
My 90g reef is in the livingrom so I do have that to watch.

I'm going crazy! CRAZY!!! I tell you......
I have no TV, I can't get the horses until Monday...so I aquascaped the tank, AGAIN. I put a yellow fake plant in the dark corner where the sponges live to brighten it up...The poor tree sponge is waiting in the corner on whatever fate awaits it. SWF has not decided what they are going to do, it doesn't look good but it still is firm and not turning to mush..... If it begins to break down I will remove it.
Anyway, I have a bunch of tall suff and hitches now for sure...LOL Behind the feeding station I put a short strip of LED blue moonlights. Also large bubbles emit from both side of it. The corals are still mad and not open completely because I was messing with them.

Looks fantastic Flower - if I was a horse I would love it.

Thanks Al...
LOL...I have nothing to do but clean my house and I don't want to do it yet. I have changed this tank so many times..Now it looks more like a coloring book scene. I read seahorses change color according to the environment...I'm hoping for some color besides brown...I will love them any color, even grey but red or yellow would be awesome.

I think you're going to have some happy horses.

I also have a slew of amphipods...those little things can jump. I was messing with the feeding station on my desk to attach the LED moonlights to the back and one was on the towel so I gently got it on my hand to return it to the tank and it jumped like a flea and I lost it. I knew they were sea bugs, but I didn't know to think of them as sea fleas..LOL..I returned about 8 to the tank safely, I kept seeing them on the towel. So I know my horses have some tasty snacks in there.

LOL If your cucle was anything like mine, you're going to see a TON of amphipods crawling all over the place with relative impunity. It got almost annoying to see all those bugs crawling everywhere....until I introduced the seahorse.
Horses will hunt down those buggers like there's no tomorrow, and the pods will soon learn that "a hidden pod is a living pod...."

LOL..I seeded the sump and the tank with them, I want happy fat horses. They should have plenty to hunt, what lands up straem from the sump should keep the cycle going and the horses supplied..I HOPE.
