Update:
Finally everything is ready...new tanks do look nice until the algae comes. My snails should arrive Tuesday if SWF sends them out Monday as planned. I have a small diatom bloom started on the back wall. I think amphipods play, I see them skipping around in there happy as can be when I turn off the lights and my desk lights are on for me to see..
I have been running the lights for the corals and turtle grass, I have a few more corals coming with the snails, Green Nepthia, Christmas tree coral and I hope a red tree sponge, if I can figure out how to add that to my order.
I'm going to remove the sponge on the rock with wire teeth. I have one shoot of the 5 purchased of turtle grass that is actually growing a new blade. it likes the new T5 lighting I guess, two have the slightest hint of green and two look completely brown. If the one thrives it should be enough to seed the tank.
It all takes time. No smileys are working, is it my computer or is it everyones?????
As far as the smilies....I'm glad (SORTA) to hear it is not just me......LOL.....so mine are not working either
as far as your order...I answered your other thread.....go into your order and add a comment telling them what you want
I have done that many times

Glad you got your new stuff...I'm waiting for the better pictures. Maybe it's just me or my meds, but all clown fish look the same...LOL
I WAS all set to be released for work. I went to my doctor and she comments on how tight the one side of my back feels so she pushes on it...I neary faint in pain...no return to work for me. I can sit and walk around so it isn't like last week. Just don't touch that one area...LOL

I have a problem trying to add to the order..the only comment area is the place where you report a problem and it won't accept my request if I don't report a problem..it says to select at least one box to report when I hit enter. Do you have a step by step? LOL I always need step by step.
NO...I don;t have an order in so I can't go thru the steps :(
You are supposed to be able to add to an order at any time until it is being processed
there should not be an option foir a gaurantee request yet.....so that confuses me....
What I use to do is ....click on the order #.....scroll to the very bottom of the order, and there should be a comment box.....and I would add my comment or my request

I was amending my post and you answered...I was on the wrong thread...oh well..it's my thread.
No, there is no comment box there anymore at all. The only place I see one is the add new guarantee and if you are not reporting a dead critter it won't allow me to add a comment...it keeps asking me to pick a check box to report...

What happens when you click on the order#?
IDK why their would be an option for a gaurantee request BEFORE an order ships

When I click on view details there is no comment box tere either. I have a gaurantee request because I already have a free coral credit. No doubt it is a glitch in the system...I could make a new order but I run the risk of them making it all new ...and I don't want to pay that kind of shipping...with the new sponge added I think I might get totally free shipping, right now at least I have the $19.99 rate
SIGH...maybe it is a sign to not spend anymore for now...I do have horses to purchase. It's just that I have waited on that sponge for so dang long.

Go to your 'my account' page flower and then click 'add support request' Give it a applicable title and tell them what else you want added to the order. I have an order thats been in their facility for the last month and I keep adding stuff to it =(. Started out at $100. I shall not speak of where it has reached now. I keep seeing things I can't live without. Stupid Internet making it too easy to spend money. Ordered some flowers last week from that pro flower website for my wife on valentines day. They were like 200 bucks but they came with the flowers a vase, some chocolate strawberries, chocolates and all this crap. I checked out and didn't pay attention. Charged me like an extra $50 for shipping, extra valentines day delivery shipping, handling, sur-charges, etc. Retarded. I thought they were going to be the cheap part. Guess I was sorely mistaken. You also might try calling first thing Monday just in case they don't read your request before they ship your package. That way you can be sure they add your sponge.

LOL...I did it, thank you! The sponge I haven there now is attached to a rock with tiny white "TEETH" all over it. It pokes like little wires. It has so any little spikes that it looks fuzzy..any idea what it might be? I don't trust it to stay in a seahorse tank so it will be returned to my 90g reef I took I from originally.
I want the bright colors in the tank because seahorses like to blend with the decor and I like those bright colors. If God is willing and all goes according to plan, I should be able to get my horses this next payroll at the end of the month...I'm so hyped..and all I can do now is wait.

CHECK THIS OUT!

I was doing research on my toothy rock and I found some awesome info. This fossil is actually the rock type my sponge is on. Even the hole on the end…the "teeth" are called spicules..at least I know what it is now. It amazes me how much info is on the web.
Class Calcarea: Range: Cambrian to Recent, greatest diversity during Cretaceous.
Calcisponges may have spicules made of CaCO3 that come in unusual shapes, including stars and tuning forks, or they may have no spicules, but instead a calcareous framework.. Living calcisponges prefer shallow tropical waters (Think...what is the link between CaCO3 spicules and warm, shallow tropical waters?)

Should I put all these snails in my 30g tank? It’s only a 30g and I could put some in the refugium. I hate to think of the tank working alive with snails…it just sounds like so many…see below for the count.
UPDATE:
My shipment was delayed…but it turned out for the better..I was able to add the red frilly sponge to my order. So I finally got everything I wanted on a single order.
Arriving Thursday:

  • CUC of snails (cerith x25, nerite x20 and nassarius x20)

  • Green Nepthea tree

  • Snake locks coral
    Red frilly sponge
    Orange tree sponge
I’m going to make a canopy out of egg crate and foam, creating a shaded area for the sponges and for the horses to be able to dodge the lights if they want. I figure 1/3 of the tank to be shaded. Just something I can set on the rim of the tank and block the light. I will post pictures after I have the new items in on Thursday.

How long before you stock the horses? I don't think I would put that many in a new, barren tank but feel you will need them once you get the horses in there. This is just my experience with the dwarf horses, maybe the larger ones are different but they tend to be nasty.
I have about 15 nassarius snails of varying sizes in a 3 gallon and all are well fed and busy, busy, busy if this gives you any indication.

I will be seeking to purchase my horses on the 28th of this month, I decided on 4 female Erectus.
I have a pretty good diatom bloom going, the tank glass is developing a tinge to it, that I remove with the mag float. I know the nassarius snails stir the sand as well, so the amount of those guys should be about right. LOL…..It's just that all together I will has 65 snails for a 30g. I could put some in refugium and place them in the tank as the need arises. They won’t disturb the copepods or amphipod from multiplying (I don't think)

Is there anything in the fuge for the snails to eat. if not, just throw them in the display and add an peice of algea sheet if they seem hungry, or throw a few into your 90 gal fuge.

Hey Flower, I don't mean to hijack your thread - how amny snails should you have in a tank, in my 65 I have 15 at the most. 10 turbos and 5 nassarius (burrowing one's

you should have a lot more nassarius. 5 in a 65 gal isnt really doing any good. They cant keep your sand clean, I would add about 20 more. I would also add some differant types. cerith and nerite. They all eat differant things.
I have always read 1 snail per gal.
