Hi there,
It sounded to me that some comments made fun at the idea that Cryptocaryon Irritant can mutate.
As to the comments that it sounded like a commercial, well where is the product. If I ever see a commercial that it does not show or name, either directly or indirectly, the product I think I would be dead.
I agree in that if there is a new strand of Cryptocaryon Irritant (Ich), the more information out there the better (for the life of the home aquarium fish anyways). I do not have any experience with hyposalinity, till recently. I decided to take on some fish that had Ich on the notion that there had been recent claims that it does not work. Well if done correctly, according a standard (meaning that if there is a difference in keeping the specific gravity of 1.009 vs. 1.010, I do not account for these type of dicrepancies), it should work. The conclusion can be drawn than, that if done "correctly" and it does not work, something was different. Either the proccess was not the correct one, some sort of error or different parasite. No comments on copper as I refuse to use it, thus I QT all fish.
