Thanks, Luv. Yeah, she's a beaut. Now the challenge is getting her happy and active in MY tank. Their coloration is truly unique IMO. If she happens to turn male (which may or may not happen, considering her other wrasse tankmates) it won't break my heart either, because the male coloration for this species is equally beautiful.
Richard....You make your own reef food? How does it taste?

My mystery fish has developed a sore on it's side. I think it was rubbing up against the faux coral, which is actually unnaturally sharp. I removed it and am about to take the LR from my sump and add it to that QT. I don't mind losing that LR if it helps this fish acclimate better. It's easy to replace with new dry rock anyway.

I am a big member on RC and there is A thread titled "Leopard Wrasse Primer" and it is probably THE best thread I have read.t has so many tips and helpful tricks to increase chances of keeping them.

Rick - you got jokes lol.
I made a very simple food with, left over lobster, fresh clams, squids, octopus and tilepia and snapper meat and my fish goes crazy for them. It is bit greasy though and smells really really fishy. :/
I already put a batch on the side for you to try. Let me know how your fish likes them. I wanted the fish to get some amino acid naturally from food so tried making my own.
I hope your mystery recovers very soon!! I love that fish.

Hey there Rick!
Just got caught up on your thread and I am sorryto read about your lost fish.
I too just had a loss in the QT.
Other than that little set back of yours, glad to read everything else are doing good.

REEFR, good luck! Did you QT?
Keith, good to hear from ya! Yeah, this thread is getting ridiculous, but what the heck.....that's what tank diaries are for.
Richard, the yellow coris is beautiful...one of those true super-yellow fish....but isn't it a little risky in a reef? I heard it will go after shrimp, feather dusters, etc...and has a tendency to flip corals in search of their food. My Midas blenny is only yellow when HE feels like it, but I'm happy to say he's getting a little more comfortable - and a little more yellow - every day.
The Leopard is still looking good...we're at the one week mark!!
I'll wait one more week before I really start to relax about her, though. She looked hilarious this morning...she's starting to adjust to our time schedule, so she was just waking up when I came in the room this AM. She had a patch of sand stuck to her head that looked for all the world like some beach-bum's bedhead, and a dazed, hung-over expression. I switched her and the McCosker's over to Hikari brand mysis, and they both seem to be eating well.

I hear that it usully leaves things alone and that it won't flip things over. I got a 1 incher today and we will see how things go. If not, I know how to get that sucker out.

AT that size I'm sure he'll be fine. Hope he stays well behaved! My Mystery has already proved he can flip corals if he wants, so I have to epoxy the frogspawn frag down. No big deal; he's no worse than the turbo snails can be (frelling bulldozers that they are...)

Mine is out again today..He was out yesterday for a couple hours, then dive-bombed. He ate mysis yesterday though, so I was very happy. I couldnt tell if he got any mysis today, since all my other fish started eating his food right by him..

Oh man flipping corals is no bueno.... I had a red corris that flipped everything and had a hobby of flipping a huge brain coral and after couple of months of abuse, the brain coral just died.. :(
I'm glad to hear that your mystery is doing well too!
Reefr - Your mystery is going in and out of tank? Do you have a canopy or screen?

I do NOT have a mystery, and never will.
I have a small-1.5" M.Bipartus Leopard Wrasse. And yes I have a screen top, to contain my dusky jaw and leopard wrasse.

ahh sorry, I misunderstood.
Thought you had a mystery for some reason and the way that you said that it jumped out wasn't sure if you had top for them.
