i would def. recommend zoas and rics. i just upgraded my lighting for my 20 gallon to 150 watts MH. so now im gonna be keeping zoas, rics, sps, and clams. i was never into the softies really, but for zoas look for rare ones. you will find some cool colorings.

Rics i like, cuz obviously, i like mushrooms. but zoos never intrigued me, you pay a decent amount for a small amount of tiny circles... idk.. i really like frogspawn and hamemrs and stuff. i plan on getting a clam (deresa... in theory..it should work.. especially since i'm getting it small, when they depend on pyhtoplankton more than light)

nygel, what kind of lights do you have in your 29g? I'm starting to gather ideas so when I have to buy new I'll know what to get. I'm just running the stock lighting in my 29g biocube for now.

refer to above post.... if you want the exact thing, i'll have to look it up, but if not... its a total of 3 pc strips. 1 dual, 1 actinic, = 100+w of pc. I dont have the money (or really desire) to go to metal halide, but most want it.

I feel the same way about the MH's. Were these bulgs able to just fit into the hood with the stock set-up? And, if so, could you please tell me which ones you specifically got. Thanks in advance!

aren't you running a cube though? thats a whole different light setup I believe. When I bought the setup (used) it came with a standard hood and light, well I recently took the light out of the strip and put in a Coral Sun Actinic light so that I could have more actinic (i like blue). the main lightis a Satellite 24 hour lighting system. thats about all i know.

So you're saying your's is just a 29g reg tank? Yes, mine is the 29g biocube. So your's is a whole different setup, huh? Sorry, I guess I just assumed it was a biocube.
So how long are your bulbs, and are they the double tubes? I wonder if there are compatible PC's for the cube hood?

my bulbs are 30" and yes, dual. total i have three bulbs. and i'm surprised you didnt catch it was an AGA 29g due to its length compared to depth.

Didn't see any length or depth mentioned, but then I didn't read the first page. Sorry if I bothered you. You must be young because after re-reading some of your responses, you tend to be a little sarcastic. Won't bother you again.
