Obama is a racist. Why are people ignorant to that or is it okay because he is black. People do not seem to have opinions anymore. Their beliefs are facts. That is a scary trend! Obama is going to be no different than any of the other puppets that have been elected. I personally feel that the Obama supporters are going to be seriously disappointed. The world is broken and one man is not going to able to repair it.
Exactly how is Obama a racist?

It's my understanding that the current plan is to be completely out of Iraq in three years. That's the deal Bush has made with the Iraqi government. The Iraqi's actually prefer for us to pull out sooner if I'm not mistaken. They know Obama is for doing this, so I doubt they will have any problems if we do pull out sooner. Obama wants to concentrate our efforts on Afghanistan. The work in Iraq is done. The 'surge' has worked in your own words. It's time to cut the apron strings, and let the Iraqis take care of themselves. If they get into trouble, we'll just be right next door trying to capture the individuals who actually had something to do with 9-11.

You didn't answer the question. How long do you give him to get us out of Iraq and take the war fully to Afghanistan? How long before you are mad about a lack of action by him?

Uh, I did answer the question. I said they will be out in no more than three years. If the Iraqi government is comfortable with us leaving sooner, which by all indications tahey are, I can bet Obama will pull them out sooner. Logistics-wise, it would be stupid to pull all the troops and equipment from Iraq, send it home, then take it right back to Afghanistan. So I imagine that within the next year or so, you will most likely see him transition troops out of Iraq, and directly over to Afghanistan. Again, It's dependent on the agreement with the Iraqi government.
Considering I don't want to be over there in the first place, I think I'd be upset if he doesn't do what he said in his campaign promises, and start pulling troops out as soon as feasibly possible. The guy isn't going to start troop reductions on January 21st. If any action in Iraq happens before next summer, I would be surprised.

With statements like these, you really think, that the racist garbage is over? It is just beginning.
I agree with you, dude. I wonder how it will all play out.
The african-americans on all the news stations were fainting and dancing and convulsing, shaking and yelling and crying... It's almost like they've been oppressed their whole lives, and now they're free or something... but that's never been the case. I have a number of black friends that I respect and appreciate like any other member of society, and I've never considered them oppressed or belittled. I think we've come a long way since racism and the presidency just further proves that.
I also think that the white-supremacists and skin heads are probably going to do some really horrible, unspeakable things. They are where the lack of progression in our society lay.

Bush (the guy that is an idiot in your eyes) gave the three year mark....suddennly you are ok with this. I thought Obama was going to bring them out sooner and shift to afghanistan to get Bin Laden, 3 years to do this?
So your fine with Our boys dying for a "senseless" war for three years...For some reason I don't remember this as your stance...
Rylan, Crimzy, could you chime in on this, I know you two were avid supporters as well...how long Do you give Obama to enact change?
I honestly myself believe if he doesn't act on what he promised by the end of his first year you will see bad ratings.......

I'll support the President, whoever it is, as long as he fulfills his oath:
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States
."
i think a constitutional lawyer and teacher wont have much of a problem doing that....

Seriously? He followed a preacher for MANY years that is very much a racist. If you do not believe what is being preached why be there? Does not make logical sense to me. But I find his supporters do not even care who he really is. All they want is change which is fine. We are not going to find change in a broken two party system.

I never said I was OK with it. If it were up to me, they'd be out of there tomorrow. The current administration has made an agreement with the Iraqi government as to when we will be completely out of Iraq. Currently that agreement is three years. Obama may very well shorten that time, but he first has to discuss it with them. He's not going to 'renig' on an agreement that has already been made simply because there was a 'change of the guard'. It's being politically correct, and respecting the previous President's decisions. Statements in the press have already said that if Obama got elected, the Iraqis would probably press for an earlier withdraw, because they know he'd support it. If McCain would've been voted in, we'd be there 3 years if not longer. Obama's first priority is the economy. I imagine that'll be the first thing he attacks when he gets into office. I'm also sure there will be many discussions with the Iraqis as to the status of when withdrawals can begin. Don't know if that'll happen in the first year. I hope it does.

as far as race is concerned I believe that this is the latest of a long line of events that have continually pr oven that races are less and less important to the majority of people. I mean think of it African-Americans have went from slaves all the way to the highest office in the land.
Now with that being said I do believe there are still going to be problems dealing with race issues.
the white supremacists will still keep up there agenda probably with a renewed sense of urgency.
The minority of white people that still have a problem with African-Americans will probably just sit back and watch everything going on and say I told you so when something goes wrong more now than before.
The black panthers will be out in full force trying to enforce their agenda with a renewed source of energy
I see more African Americans playing the race card when they get in trouble for something. saying stuff like " Now that a black man is office you want to prosecute us even more." I see more racial marches and all lead by AL sharp ton and Jessie Jackson in the future when these events happen.
I do believe there will be a lull in all the race cards for a few months but as it sinks in that he has won and its really happening in MY OPINION it will start to come up more and be seen in the news. I don't believe the riots and all that people said would happen if he was elected will ever happen. If there is a riot it will be because something else set it off. Another thing if they don't get things back on track IMO there will be riots that will be blamed on his election.
Me personally I didn't care for either canadite but listening to their stances and the way they answered questions I was more inclined to vote for Obama. Is he the right person for the job only time will tell but I believed he was a better choice than McCain was.
Just my 2 cents worth

i believe Barack has a chance to not only unite black and white Americans but unite the global population. we'll ALWAYS have our close minded groups and individuals and will never have a utopia, but the fact that he IS PRESIDENT ELECT and the WORLD was celebrating his win are great signs that we as a human race or advancing.

Nope, wrong. I got propaganda twice from his campaign urging me to vote no on prop 8.
Your statement is absolutely 100% untrue.

Barracks stances on gay rights
Barack Obama in the United States Senate:
Every two years the Human Rights Campaign, the largest national gay and lesbian organization, issues a scorecard for members of the Senate based on their sponsorship and voting on key issues of importance to gay and lesbian citizens. Barack Obama scored 89 out of 100% in the 2006 scorecard. Here's how HRC rated Barack Obama:
Barack Obama on Hate Crimes:
Barack Obama co-sponsored legislation to expand federal hate crimes laws to include crimes perpetrated because of sexual orientation and gender identity.
Employment Non-Discrimination:
Barack Obama supports the Employment Non-Discrimination Act and believes it should be expanded to include sexual orientation and gender identity.
Don't Ask, Don't Tell - Gays in the Military:
Barack Obama believes we need to repeal the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy and allow gays and lesbians to serve openly in the military. His campaign literature says, "The key test for military service should be patriotism, a sense of duty, and a willingness to serve."
Gay & Lesbian Adoption:
Barack Obama believes gays and lesbians should have the same rights to adopt children as heterosexuals.
Barack Obama and Gay Marriage/ Civil Unions:
Although Barack Obama has said that he supports civil unions, he is against gay marriage. In an interview with the Chicago Daily Tribune, Obama said, "I'm a Christian. And so, although I try not to have my religious beliefs dominate or determine my political views on this issue, I do believe that tradition, and my religious beliefs say that marriage is something sanctified between a man and a woman."
Barack Obama did vote against a Federal Marriage Amendment and opposed the Defense of Marriage Act in 1996.
He said he would support civil unions between gay and lesbian couples, as well as letting individual states determine if marriage between gay and lesbian couples should be legalized.
"Giving them a set of basic rights would allow them to experience their relationship and live their lives in a way that doesn't cause discrimination," Obama said. "I think it is the right balance to strike in this society."

Personally I thought I heard a date of 18 months before we start the withdrawal of troops. I would be disappointed if we haven't reduced our numbers in Iraq and increased our numbers in Afghanistan after 18 months. JMO.
