You don't think it'd be wise for us to put pressure on the Saudi's to help curb this? Don't you think it'd be a blow to global terrorism if one of the major areas of funding was cut off? Or do you think the only people funding are related to Bin Laden and it's only a couple of bucks?
One presidential candidate has shown and demonstrated support for terrorists...yet this nation has done nothing regarding insisting he resign from the US Senate based on his ties to terrorism, terrorists, racists and haters.
What would you call it...turning a blind eye?

Well lets look at this latest proposal of gas tax holiday which well further put us into a deficit.... All republicans candidates need to say to get in office is....
"No New Taxes!" - which we've heard before, and was a lie.
But this shows how clueless McCain is... first gas is going to be $4 anyway... I believe the proposal would take $0.18 a gallon, which isn't a huge savings...about $2.88 for an average car.. But what this would do is create a $10 billion shortage for our bridges and roads projects...which are already a concern. This tax directly goes towards roads... and here in Ohio it would be a major issue.. we have bridges that need rebuilt... not to mention the seasonal pot-hole problem, which after a heavy snow season..we drastically need filled.
Any reduction via a tax holiday in fuel prices will move through the economy. The cost of fuel also drives up prices of goods as they must be transported to market. Businesses will also see a reduction in the fuel they purchase thus leading to lowering the cost of doinig business.
The lowering of fuel prices will also free up local and state governemnt dollars based on less money spent on gas .....so perhaps they have a few extra bucks to come out and fill that pot hole in front of your house. Brought full circle. One clueless proposal has gotten your pot hole filled...go figger.

Yep........actually...I think he/she claimes the bridge and roads issue is far more important then any war on terror. Also, looks like we should redirect resources from airline security to potholes.
Perhaps NObama will redeploy our military from fighting terrorists abroad to filling potholes on Main Streets.

I see others have answered your q......NObama does not even realize AQ is in Iraq...I thought he said after he becomes president he's gonna gas up the moving vans and get the troops out of Iraq and surrender to the terrorists and give them a victory........but he will send troops back should AQ surface in Iraq.
I guess when you sit in a pew for 20 years and not know a thing...it's easy to miss that AQ is currently being defeated in Iraq. He'd have to be paying attention...which he obviously has a problem doing. Perhaps he has attention deficit disorder.

Here's an idea then; How about you Ohioans fix your own roads???
When exactly did we lose the Constitutional principle of States' rights and the inherent responsibility that goes along with that concept?
You obviously were not present when this passed...or perhaps you did not read the bulletin.

The unlimited OT and bonuses are cool, though. I think it's great there are so many people who are going to fight any changes to our health care system. You guys rock! If you can just keep it up for 20 more years or so, I can retire early!
I for one do not beleive the government has a clue in running universal healthcare/socialized medicine. I have no problems with you benefitting from the "cause"...as I beleive America as a whole benefits. We can work to make changes...and a total government takeover is not the answer. it's already been tried in other countries.
Of course, this is contrary to the word from Uncle Rev Wright...who must keep some in america down by spewing let's blame whitey mantra....as opposed to lets work together to make america better. I'm sure the problems in the medical industry is caused by us greedy white folks.
Even Uncle Rev Wright is welcome to join the cause if he so chooses in preventing a government takeover of the medical industry.
His first action should be to sell his million dollar palace...and setup a trust with the money to help pay medical bills for the poor.
I wonder how many poor folks decided to drop a few extra dollars in the collection plate as opposed to buying their medicine? Perhaps some ended up in an emergency room and could not pay their bill .? They'd probably be outraged knowing their hard earned dollars and the sacrifice they made went to help pay for the palace for their greedy "Uncle".

Wrong.....it still delivers the same message. You can wrap the pakage up with different paper..but when you open it up the comment is still racist.
Of course, this is nothing new for Nobama..as he once referred to white people as crackers in his book...and all we have to do is replay the Greatest Hits of his Uncle to see and hear the racism and the hate. This also provides the basis as to why NObama would make such a statement. He's been listening to his Uncle define typical white people for 20 years.
Please tell me how average white person or not out of the ordinary white person differs from typical white person?

Nobama knew EXACTLY the message his Uncle was delivering..which is why he disinvited him. ALso, his Uncle told him he would probably have to distance himself from him some time ago..and NObama agreed.
If all NObama knew was love from his pastor..why was he disinvited from the ceremony when he launched his camapign and why did NObama agree he would have to distance himself from his beloved Uncle long before we watched the Grestest Hits of Rev?
NObama knew/heard the message and embraced it with his membership.

The foundation of Nobama's church....The man Uncle Wright claims as the basis for his chruches message ......so, whitey is now the anti-christ? How deep is this hatred that Nobama and his church have for white people? Marxism? Makes those wall hangings in the NObama campaign room make sense now.
From Truth to Power...
Wright has said that a basis for Trinity's philosophies is the work of James Cone, who founded the modern black liberation theology movement out of the civil rights struggles of the 1960s. Particularly influential was Cone's seminal 1969 book, "Black Theology & Black Power."
Cone wrote that the United States was a white racist nation and the white church was the Antichrist for having supported slavery and segregation.
Consider this passage: "Hope is the expectation of that which is not. It is the belief that the impossible is possible, the 'not yet' is coming in history."
Those words sound as if they were pulled from Obama's latest campaign speech. Instead, they're from a memoir Cone wrote in the 1980s. In it, Cone said blacks shouldn't limit their hope to what the Republican and Democratic parties stand for. Then he posited a thought that voters are unlikely to hear from Obama:
"Together, black religion and Marxist philosophy may show us the way to build a completely new society."

The Rev. Jeremiah Wright, retired pastor to Sen. Barack Obama, said today that politicians “are getting after Big Oil because it’s black,” noting that “you don’t hear nobody talking smack like that on Big Milk.”
The Rev. Wright said he came out of seclusion to make the remarks out of concern that substantive presidential campaign issues like energy policy might push discussion of America’s racial divisions out of the headlines.
“Milk now costs an average of $3.70 per gallon,” said the Rev. Wright, “while gasoline is still less than $3.30 at the pump, and yet oil gets blamed for all our problems, from global warming to the war in Iraq. People say it’s slimy, dirty, toxic…but you don’t hear them dissin’ milk like that.”
The former pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago asked rhetorically, “Why don’t we see posters of Brooke Shields or Mariska Hargitay sporting an oil mustache? I rest my case.”
2008-04-12) — Senator Barack Obama today announced a plan to employ millions of bitter, small town Americans who, in their anger over jobs lost in the 1980s, have turned to guns, God, and xenophobia.
Campaigning in Pennsylvania, Sen. Obama said his new proposal addresses remarks made this week at a San Francisco fundraiser, during which he said, “You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”
The presumptive Democrat presidential front runner said his plan would employ “these Archie Bunker-type people” in government programs “to register and/or confiscate inappropriate personal firearms, to monitor churches for hate-speech about homosexuality or abortion, and to build tax-funded housing for low income illegal aliens.”
“Twenty-five years is a long time to wallow in bitterness like our friends in Pennsylvania, the Midwest and elsewhere have been doing,” said Sen. Obama, “So, until the steel mills can all be converted to casinos and re-opened, we’ll provide good government jobs at high wages that will soothe the rage, and help to re-educate these small-town folk.”

He thinks so highly of us doesn't he.. I moved originally from Florida ( cost to living ratio is way out of whack a house is 500k that in the Midwest is 100k and the job in Florida pays 8 dollars an hour where the same job in Missouri pays 15...
I live in a small town and the income to housing surpasses most area's in the US. With statements like these how does he think he will be elected...

What you don't seem to get is that these road/highway projects fall under Federal and not State. The costs will not be spread through the system..Either way gas will still be $4. You loose sight of the big picture... all this does is create more of a defecit. I initially though, this may be benefitial, but it really is not.. and republicans and democrats both agree..Its actually been proposed before.. I think the last time was in 2005

Many conservatives... I'll include many Republicans don't want more gambling..And of course housing prices are lower in midwest, aside from large cities because supply and demand... You pay more to live in more desirable areas; however you are also paid a little more in those areas .. the cost of living is higher, but so is the median income.
