Article/witness places Nobama in pew for Wright hate speech.....
Obama Attended Hate America Sermon
Sunday, March 16, 2008 7:14 PM
By: Ronald Kessler
Obama claims he was completely unaware that the Reverend Wright’s trademark preaching style at the Trinity United Church of Christ targeted “white” America.
Clarification: The Obama campaign has told members of the press that Senator Obama was not in church on the day cited, July 22, because he had a speech he gave in Miami at 1:30 PM. Our writer, Jim Davis, says he attended several services at Senator Obama's church during the month of July, including July 22. The church holds services three times every Sunday at 7:30 and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Central time. While both the early morning and evening service allowed Sen. Obama to attend the service and still give a speech in Miami, Mr. Davis stands by his story that during one of the services he attended during the month of July, Senator Obama was present and sat through the sermon given by Rev. Wright as described in the story. Mr. Davis said Secret Service were also present in the church during Senator Obama's attendance. Mr. Davis' story was first published on Newsmax on August 9, 2007. Shortly before publication, Mr. Davis contacted the press office of Sen. Obama several times for comment about the Senator's attendance and Rev. Wright's comments during his sermon. The Senator's office declined to comment.
**************************
Contrary to Senator Barack Obama’s claim that he never heard his pastor Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr. preach hatred of America, Obama was in the pews last July 22 when the minister blamed the “white arrogance” of America’s Caucasian majority for the world’s suffering, especially the oppression of blacks.
Senator Obama has sought to separate himself from his pastor’s incendiary remarks, issuing a statement Friday rejecting them as “inflammatory and appalling” but failing to renounce Wright himself for his venomous and paranoid denunciations of America.
In his press release, Obama claimed, “The statements that Rev. Wright made that are the cause of this controversy were not statements I personally heard him preach while I sat in the pews of Trinity [United Church of Christ] or heard him utter in private conversation.”
Appearing on cable news shows this past weekend, Obama claimed when he saw recent videos that have Wright making such comments as “God damn America,” he was “shocked.” Obama implied that the reverend had not used such derogatory language in any of the church services Obama attended over the past two decades.
If Obama’s claims are true that he was completely unaware that Wright’s trademark preaching style at the Trinity United Church of Christ has targeted “white” America and Israel, he would have been one of the few people in Chicago to be so uninformed. Wright’s reputation for spewing hate is well known.
In fact, Obama was present in the South Side Chicago church on July 22 last year when Jim Davis, a freelance correspondent for Newsmax, attended services along with Obama. [See: ”Obama’s Church: Cauldron of Division.”]
In his sermon that day, Wright tore into America, referring to the “United States of White America” and lacing his sermon with expletives as Obama listened. Hearing Wright’s attacks on his own country, Obama had the opportunity to walk out, but Davis said the senator sat in his pew and nodded in agreement.
Addressing the Iraq war, Wright thundered, “Young African-American men” were “dying for nothing.” The “illegal war,” he shouted, was “based on Bush’s lies” and is being “fought for oil money.”
Obama’s most famous celebrity backer, Oprah Winfrey began attending Wright’s church in 1984. Last year, Newsmax magazine reported that Winfrey abruptly stopped attending years ago, and suggested that she did so to distance herself from Wright’s inflammatory rhetoric. She soon found herself a target of Wright, who excoriated her for having broken with “traditional faith.”

Actual newsmax article placing Nobama in the pew....
Please note date of the article
Obama's Church: Cauldron of Division
Jim Davis
Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007
Wright's strong sentiments were echoed in the Sunday morning service attended by NewsMax.
Wright laced into America's establishment, blaming the "white arrogance" of America's Caucasian majority for the woes of the world, especially the oppression suffered by blacks. To underscore the point he refers to the country as the "United States of White America." Many in the congregation, including Obama, nodded in apparent agreement as these statements were made.

It's really disgusting what Nobama's "church" is spewing. I'm finding plenty...here's yet another example
It Never Stops: Obama’s Church Published Letter Alleging Israeli “Ethnic Bomb.”
Mar 25th, 2008 by Bob Owens
Middle America, I’m sure this sort of stuff appears in your church bulletins all the time.
Israel and South Africa worked on “ethnic bombs” to kill blacks and Arabs, and Libya was designated as a terrorist state by the U.S. for supporting African liberation movements?
There is more nuttiness here than in a Payday bar, but rest assured that Barack Obama never saw this bulletin, and certainly doesn’t agree with it, just as he’s never seen or agreed with any of the other insanities that have been uttered in his church of choice over the past 20 years.
You’ll note that this was published on Trinity’s “Youth Day,” as part of “Family Month” according to the note at the bottom left of the page.

I'm curious at what point the "I didn't know that was going on" excuse begins to become a liability.
If you are a "regular" attendee of a church for 20+ years and didn't know what much of the world knew about your church, nor did you realize your friend and mentor whom you appointed as an Advisor was as radical as he is, nor did you realize and investigate even after the news started reporting this... Are you really qualified to lead the greatest Superpower in the world?
The spin currently is "1 sermon being taken out of context", despite more and more evidence, more and more quotes from multiple sermons, now writings, etc. Seriously, at what point does "not knowing" show a larger character flaw than knowing all of this?
There's just too many examples out there for him to claim ignorance regarding all the hate poison.
His next problem will be that manifesto and Father Pfleger..another Farrakahn supporter and Nobama supporter.
He's a disgrace....he should resign from the US Senate and drop from the race. Belonging to a church that provides Hamas a platform here in the US is inexcusable.
I guess he was only present for the love fests and he simply never read any of his pastor's writings...but yet...he thought so much of his speeches he named a book after his sermon plus quoted the rev.

For the story behind the story...

Obama Includes Controversial Ministers
Presidential hopeful Barack Obama has launched a religious outreach Web site that contains testimonials from three controversial clerics — including a minister who blames 9/11 on the U.S.
The three are Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., senior pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago; Rev. J. Alfred Smith Sr., senior pastor of Allen Temple Baptist Church in Oakland, Calif.; and Rev. Michael Pfleger, a Roman Catholic priest in Chicago.
Reacting to Sunday’s launch of the Web site, www.faith.barackobama.com, Catholic League President Bill Donohue declared: "Rev. Wright was scheduled to give the invocation at the forum of Obama’s presidential announcement on February 10, but the night before the event Obama rescinded the bid: The Illinois senator knew that his spiritual advisor was so divisive that he would cloud the ceremonies.
"The black liberation theologian has a record of giving racially inflammatory sermons and has even said that Zionism has an element of ‘white racism.’ He also blamed the attacks of 9/11 on American foreign policy.”
Readers of NewsMax magazine’s May issue already knew of the connection between Wright and Obama — and Oprah Winfrey as well.
The issue’s cover story, "Obama and the Oprah Factor,” disclosed that Wright served as a "spiritual mentor” to a young Obama, and Obama wrote on the church’s Web site that while kneeling in the church: "I submitted myself to [God’s] will, and dedicated myself to discovering his truth.”
Obama has said that the title of his 2006 book, "The Audacity of Hope,” came from a Wright sermon.
The story also revealed that Oprah Winfrey attended services at Wright’s church after she moved to Chicago in 1984.
Donohue had this to say about the other two clerics on Obama’s site: "Rev. Smith was honored by the notoriously violent Black Panther Party of Oakland in 1975, and in 1990 was given a community award by the Nation of Islam, an anti-Semitic, anti-Catholic and anti-gay group.
"Rev. Pfleger has allowed Nation of Islam chief Louis Farrakhan to preach in his church; he has been arrested for defacing billboards; he has paid prostitutes to worship at his church; and only last week he staged an anti-gun rally in front of a gun store where he exhorted the crowd to hunt down the owner ‘like a rat’ and ‘snuff’ him.”
Donohue added: "While Obama is not responsible for the record of these three clergymen, he is responsible for giving them the opportunity to prominently display their testimonials on his religious outreach Web site. If these are the kinds of clergymen he admires, perhaps it’s best he shut down his new Web site and start all over again. It will take more than ‘God talk’ to get Obama out of this jam.”
This is silly, these men are not running for president... He is not responsible for their record... The religious outreach site is doing what it is supposed to do... bringing people together of different faiths and views... Lets have stories about the candidates and what they plan to do as president... This is soley a partisan attack geared to play on the fears of "key constituants"... So Oprah is now a racist anti-american because she attended the church? Bill Clinton invited Wright to meet with him after the Lewinsky scandal... give me a break...

All this stuff is much to do about nothing...
Obama has done nothing disgraceful... He has run a clean campaign, depite these silly and numerous attacks.

Republicans are doing it again... trying to steal the election based on false information and tampering... Gore 2000, Kerry 2004, and this year as well. Look at all the information that is out there and how it is trying to get you to not look at the issues and the direction of this country... McCain wants to continue taking this country on the current course that we are on... He is only addressing the war on Iraq and all the other "Straight Talk" is all about nothing.. He hasn't appropriately addressed his plans on Economy, Education, and all the other key issues we face as a nation. You know the only way to win is to play divise politics based on fear...which is what Clinton has fallen into... if you continue to listen to and believe this stuff... we will have more of the same... an economic crisis and a war in Iraq that is draining American confidence in our gov't, that produces more terrorism and anti-American sentiments, and a delay in capturing enemy #1 Bin Laden...among many other things... People need to wake up and see what is really going on... Make your decision on the issues and hopes for a better America... not the fears that keep us behind the times as we have so often done in our brief history... It was hope and the desire for a better America that has given us the lifestyles and innovation that we enjoy today... it was those things that made us a great nation... The consequences of FEAR and GREED are the things we are most ashamed... In looking back at the campaigns... who is the obvious choice? Who speaks for a better America... and who speaks for a status quo America?

Why break a perfect record?

Remember when Trent Lott was forced out as Senate leader for saying something nice to Strom Thurmond on his 100 birthday? If saying something nice to an old man who had once been a dixicrat (as in southern white democrat segregationist) makes Lott unsuitable to be senate leader I would say Obama's longstanding relationship with a racist pastor and membership in a church that embraces black sepratism at a minimum I would say it (among other things) makes him unsuitable to be president.

Actually, didn't oprah leave, because of the hateful rhetoric that Reverend Wright was preaching.
I don't know why she left... its not really my business... I don't even think Oprah attends church... All this stuff is heresay and ... it doesn't really belong in my consideration for president... The comments mentioned by Wright or a only a a couple of thousands... Yea, I wish this guy was a better reflection of his church and less controversial... but I can't condemn Obama for another man's words... I think Obama gave a fair explanation and a speech that has overlooked.

Its more of the same... how can we steal votes? Gay Marriage issue, Kerry is a lier and unpatriotic...Florida issue 2000 and now 2008, Obama is a racist...etc
This whole debate is a continuation of divisive politics that only talk about problems w/o solving any of them... It is doing more to create division, than it is a unifier... we talk more about issues that don't matter... than the ones that do... We talk about people that will have no role in how this country is ran... This is an election that will set the course for America for years to come... Economy, technology, education, immigration, healthcare, foreign policy, our struggling dollar/debt, social security... are all issues that need to be solved now, because if they continue as they are...which is what McCain wants to do for the most part... We will continue to see our decline in the World's Arena....With all the things we are facing.. these issues should be the least of our concerns, unless you want to have a real debate on race in America. At least Obama has the courage to face it and to talk about it, and to turn the page in efforts to bring us all together... Clinton is not going to do this...she is the type of candidate who will talk about it or acknowledge it, but will do nothing to change it.. McCain will not talk about it or do anything about... Obama is the only one who will take this debate full circle.

Something nice? You can't compare the two... and I have not seen our heard anything that preaches sepratism..
Trent Lott has a long history of racist/ segregationist comments, views, and actions that go back to his college days... Here is what he said...
when he declared that his state was proud to have voted for Strom Thurmond's segregationist ticket in 1948. "And if the rest of the country had followed our lead," Lott added in remarks at Thurmond's 100th birthday party, "we wouldn't have had all these problems over the years either.
If Obama or anyone else said this... than fine... but you can't attribute the words of one man to another... especially when he has spoke out against the remarks... If I follow your same logic...anything anyone of your friends or family say that is not 'politically correct' I should assume it is just as if they came out of your own mouth...

I"m not condeming obama for a lack of judgement, by placing a man of such hateful anti-american rhetoric in a place of great influence in his life. Then lying about it.
As for oprah, I remember reading an article refering to his rhetoric as a main reason for her leaving. I read everything with a grain of salt but it was reported that way.

Let's get the quote straight
"I want to say this about my state: When Strom Thurmond ran for president, we voted for him. We're proud of it. And if the rest of the country had followed our lead, we wouldn't have had all these problems over all these years, either," Lott said at last week's party.
Obama spent 20 years in the Pews listening to wrights racist remarks. His fellow church members did as well. Trying to say Obama didn't embrace these views is like saying David Duke and Robert Byrd only joined the KKK for the religious teachings and didn't agree with the racist statements being made.
The black value system?

Here is the documentation of the support for the harter by Pfleger..a Nobama supporter. I'm once again ahead of the mainstream media on this story that I predict will be airing soon....
According to the Chicago Tribune, Pfleger gave Obama political contributions of $1,500 between 1995 and 2001, including $200 in April 2001, about three months after Obama announced $225,000 in grants to St. Sabina programs.
The newspaper quoted Pfleger as saying he made those donations personally, not on behalf of the church or to win grants.
Another newspaper article, this one published on July 2007 in the Christian Science Monitor, quoted Pfleger as saying he has known Obama for more than 20 years since 1985 when Obama moved to Chicago "for a job organizing impoverished South Side residents in campaigns for jobs, schools, and housing."
Pfleger's open support of Farrakhan also is documented easily.
According to a CBS local Chicago television report dated on May 25, 2007, Farrakhan returned to St. Sabina following serious surgery for cancer, to give an hour-long fiery speech to a packed congregation.
"The 73-year-old Farrakhan's return to the church he visited many times before, seemingly as animated and energetic as ever, fulfilled a promise he'd made to its pastor, Father Michael Pfleger," according to the story written by CBS reporter Jay Levine.
The CBS story included a video clip of Farrakhan's speech to the church in which Pfleger can be seen accompanying Farrakhan into the church and seated behind Farrakhan as he gave his speech from the pulpit.
Several examples of Pfleger's radical street protest politics also are documented fully and available for easy reference on the Internet.
