McCain has missed more votes than any other Senator this year.... If you are going to hold one candidate to a standard... you have to hold the other to the same standard... all you Obama haters conveniently forget to do this.
McCain has also spent more time with our troops overseas than any other candidate.
What does Obama have for an excuse with all of the missed votes?

If you are surprised when you look at these figures, so was I.
These figures mean that the loss from the two latest conflicts
in the Middle East are LESS than the loss of military personnel
during Bill Clinton's presidency; when America wasn't even
involved in a war!

You should qualify your sources first!!

My internet is running slow so I didn't see the whole video but ask yourself why all the hard edits and splices?
Like I demonstrated before, He still thinks his tax cut package was better. He says if he had it to do again he would still vote against Bushes. Seems pretty consistant to me.
On amnesty he and a lot of others didn't consider the provision amnesty, that is what was edited out of the clip. I don't agree with him on that. What ever he, you or I want to call that provision he still supports it. Listen to the unedited clips of him speaking on the subject. He feels once the border is taken care of the country will accept his amnesty plan. I think he's wrong but at least he is going to deal with the border. He saw how the tax cuts stimulated the economy and has voted to make them permanent since it came up in 06. Now he wants to apply discaplined spending along with the cuts and see what happens. Sounds great to me.
Your guy wants to give illegals drivers licenses, Increase our Foriegn aid by at least 845 billion over the next 7 years, socialize medicine, allow minor children access to abortions without their parent's knowledge, Increase spending on a range of programs and lets not forget, RAISE EVERYONES TAXES because there is no way in hell he can begin to pay for all of his promises without nailing us all.

and his healthcare program will run the country to the tune of 800 billion per YEAR ALSO.
Oh yeah, this guy is an economic guru....our defecit is in the can so lets run it up more....isn't this the same thing you guys are complaining about?
How does he pay for it and "balance the budget"? Pullin out of Iraq will only cut our defense cost from 750 billion per year to a little over 500 billion...so he needs to make 500 billion dollars in taxes to pay for the heathcare on top of everything else he wants to do.
The top 20 percent couldn't afford to pay for all this so where do think the majority of the money will come from?

I was trying to read through those CRS reports when my internet started flaking out. Pretty interesting how the numbers shifted in 96 I think it was. Could be a topic for a whole new thread. Also sad the number of self inflicteds.
I knew there was no way in hell there were more casulties during years without wars on a consistant basis. Even so I was amazed that the increase during wars is as small as it is.
Some of the spoof e-mails like Bush and Obama with the phones upside down are funny but thou shalt not play around with issues like death counts! Gotta agree with you from your earlier post Z, dispicable.

Explain to me how you can continue cut taxes and grow the military and secure the border? Where is the money going to come from?
Also, found it interesting when I read an article a little while back that talked about how McCain voted down a bill that would give more benefits to be paid for by closing corporate tax loopholes. Then again, I guess he doesn't want to upset his true consituents and campaign contributors.
March 2006: McCain voted against increasing Veterans medical services funding by $1.5 billion in FY 2007 to be paid for by closing corporate tax loopholes.
April 2006: McCain was one of only 13 Senators to vote against $430,000,000 for the Department of Veteran Affairs for Medical Services for outpatient care and treatment for veterans.
May 2006: McCain voted against an amendment that would provide $20 million to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for health care facilities.
April 2003: McCain urged other Senate members to table a vote (which never passed) to provide more than $1 billion for National Guard and Reserve equipment in Iraq related to a shortage of helmets, tents, bullet-proof inserts, and tactical vests.

Went to the Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds show for Obama this past Sunday night at IU's Assembly Hall. Pretty good show.
Don't know that I'm going to vote for Obama but I'm sure NOT going to vote for Hillary...

Simple; You cut spending on stupid earmarks, pet projects, worthless subsidies, and other socialist programs.
Revenue is up with the tax cuts. It's not an issue with revenue, it's an issue of spending.

I agree LYING
about death counts to make a FALSE
political point is most horrible....
You have got to correct them! I just put the real numbers in perspective to the Active duty levels at the time.

One thing I noticed in the report was the overall decline in the numbers of our Volunteer troop levels. Though there was a small momentary surge after 9/11.
I personally believe there should be a draft and every American should serve in one form or another for a 1.5 to 2 year period. That would include everyone - including Obama and Clinton. They are serving in a form right now though.

Which splices are you complaining about - Wright's or McCain's? I am not sure?

lol I'd "serve" in the senate for the 160 grand they make every year, not counting the freebees like rezco helping obama buy a quarter million dollar house and hilary magically turning huge profits on random land deals.

Start preparing for it now (age 30 ) or you could join the military now. Pay isn't as glamorous though in the military. Also, you could marry wealthy one day. I would try the first time rather than wait for a second marrage to do this. If that is a plan of yours, I am not implying it is, but just in case, it would be my advice.

Well lets see, the ketchup queen is taken, and so is the beer queen. If there is an oil queen I'd be vilified. A car queen would be nice. But they are loosing money, so maybe i'll find a airplane queen

Just about everything...
The Constitution make it very clear that the Federal Government was to be very limited.
The Feds should be in charge of defense, trade and commerce, etc. Those things that are specifically called for in the Constitution. The rest of it should be handed off to the States and the private sector where it could be dealt with far more efficiently or cut out of existence completely.
