I considered religion, i was actually a catholic for sixteen years until I discovered biology which , to me, explains the truth behind the creation of life. Creationists dont have to convert i just wished they would read and discover evolution is not a ploy to bring down the church.

Just because of a few lucky guesses doesnt mean its right. Look at Nostradomis (i spelt wrong but who cares) his prediction that did come true made people believe he was an almighty physcic and some even bagen to worship/praise him and think the end is at 2012. However the media leaves out the other 1000 somthing predictions that did not come to be only supporting that people believe what they want to for eithier closure, comfort, or to define the unknown.
Other than books and documents written by the "choosen ones" creationism has yet to find any non circumstantiol evidence.

Find me at least some evidence that proves the stories and not evidence that was created by man (such as bibles scripture and etc)

I looked up your Vladimir Lenin...right away. I found nothing on him useful for this conversation. Just a documentary on his life. The scientist’s experiment I mentioned was from something I read 25 years ago. Those clips are long gone now and without a name or something to work with, it would take too long and too much energy..Those articles never said a word about the Holy books. I read it with interest, that’s all.
About a couple of good “guesses”…I am afraid that goes back to you not wanting to accept a certain book as having any authority. Everyone must make their own choices in life. You are fully entitled to your personal opinions on a book I take as authority.
Science is a wonderful thing…it keeps changing because they keep getting better information. They were all excited about some skull they found once…if I remember the story correctly..they used the skull to do a clay sculpture to see how ancient man must have looked…turned out some years later when they had the ability to date it…it was a 20 year old ape skull. Creationists laughed, but hey, they can only work with the knowledge available at the time. An ancient man doesn’t mean the Bible account is wrong. Man has been changing according to environment for a long time that we can even see. A black man is still a man, but because his ancestors lived in the hot sun his skin darkened. He is not a different species, he is still a human man. The world was different in ancient times, man has evolved. I just think he evolved from man, and not a monkey.
I have no beef with science, and I love my Holy Books, and I take them as authority…I only look for the unity when science meets scripture. I can’t convince you to accept them, and you can’t convince me not to. So we must agree to just disagree.

The way evolution works, in theory of course, is at certain points in history a new species is created through natural selection and mutation and eventually branches off form other species. This is why our DNA is close to rats cows and monkeys its because all the previous listed animals branched off near one another (by near i mean thousands of years). Insected branched off early in life which is why our genetic code is is roughly a 23% match to them. We as humans evolved from the original apes/monkeys and created a subbranch of our own. Cheetahs branch off earlier than us and took a different route same as every other species.
Yes as a matter of fact I did and it talked about rapid evolution to explain the gaps in the fossil record.

WOW...I have to agree here with T316 Flower....I was born and raised Catholic, now work full-time for a Methodist church, and part-time for a Baptist church
although there are differences in the worship services, we are all Christians that read the same bible, and believe in the same God

Same here...I was born and raised Pentecostal Holiness (about as loud as they come), married and joined my wife as Methodist (been Methodist 20 yrs), and I am heavily involved in my scout troop which meets at a Catholic church where most of the participants are Catholic....AND NEVER, HAVE I EVER, heard any member of any of these churches denounce another believer in this manner. We all acknowledge that we have different beliefs and practices, but NONE believe that the other is a "cult" or going to hell because they don't believe like they do...

You are correct about The Church of Christ...I had never heard of it in New York....but here in OK, next to Baptist and Methodist..the Church of Christ is close to the next largest...and they believe that they are the only church.

I used to be up on all that stuff. My Da'd family were all mormans and they were trying to suck in my baby sister so I dug up a lot of info on it. My Dad was a devotee of the Church of Canadian Lord Calvert so we kids weren't really exposed to his religion.

I don't believe humans have been exempt from evolution. I just don't believe we began life here on earth with the rest of the creatures. For all I know some being called Yahwee (SP?) dropped off a couple pets on earth named Adam and Eve and flew away in his spaceship checking back from time to time.
If you look under the hood of a Buick Regal and a GMC truck you are bound to find some of the same parts there because both came from the same manufacturer. If all life were created by the same source, be it Big Bang incorporated or Creation Products Unlimited, shouldn't we expect to see some similarity whether that product came from the truck plant or the car plant?
