I did a 4 gallon water change in the sh tank this evening and I changed out the filter media in both filters. I'm always glad to do that and take care of things.
I'm thinking seriously about trying to find SOMETHING that will help eradicate some of the bristle worms in that tank. It's really kind of ridiculous...little ones, big ones, not so big ones...as soon as food hits the water, they're out...YIKES!! Suggestions greatly welcomed!! What about putting a coral banded shrimp in??? Let me know.

I don't know, you could try one of those bristle worm traps.

Busy weekend with my tanks. Yesterday I came home with an absolutely gorgeous little coral beauty angel fish...I've had one before and have missed her more than I thought I would. When my bicolor angel mysteriously disappeared at the end of July, the hunt was again on. I'll post pictures of her when she's settled, though she's VERY friendly and has made herself quite at home. Even my other fish seem to have taken to her, and Cookie actually follows her around the tank from time to time.
Today, Beth and I went to the LFS. She wanted to purchase a couple of beautiful firefish, one purple and one red (a friend for Flash) plus she found a really pretty little pink mushroom.
I found a really cool Christmas tree tube worm. He's in my seahorse tank right now, came out for a little while, but now I'm waiting for him to make another entrance so I can get pictures. Hopefully soon...he's REALLY cool!! Maybe I'll get some good shots tonight yet.

Ok, I managed to get a few really nice pics of my new addition to the sh tank. The horse you're seeing posing with the worm is...amazingly enough...Navajo. Apache expressed some interest in the new addition as well a little later, but the lights were off.
Soooo....what do you think?

Haha...tonight while eating dinnner, Navajo actually hitched to the crown of the new worm, and it didn't retract at all...it didn't seem to be bothered at all by the intrusion.

I just ordered another pair!!! Can't wait to meet them!! They should be here by the end of the week, captive bred and eating frozen...hope they get along with Apache and Navajo.
I feel kind of stupid because I've been doing search after search to find captive bred kuda horses, eating frozen mysis, but I've had no luck at all...everyone's sold out!! I finally decided to post a separate thread about my search here on this board, and the first post was..."SWF.com"!!!
Now, I KNOW that I've checked this site for kudas with no luck but tonight...voila!! I've got a pair heading my way!! I'm SO excited!! Finally Apache and Navajo will have some more companions. Yay!!
Now...on to new names...hmmm...I'm wanting to stick with the Western/American Indian Tribe names...suggestions!!

Heeeyyyy!! Look who's finally back!!
Thanks Ryk, yeah that worm is great, and I can't believe how far he's moved from where I placed him!! I think he's happy.
AND, YES!!! I have another pair of beautiful little horses on the way soon! I've been searching for about 2 months to find a place that sells captive bred, frozen trained ponies and everyone seems to be sold out. I sure hope they arrive healthy and ready to go!!
Glad you got your internet back again (finally)!!

Hmmmm, I guess I failed to mention that I want to be able to pronounce my new pets' names

Correct though, I am going to wait until I've had them for a little while before actually christening them. Thanks again Ryk!! You Rock!!

The harder the name is to pronounce all the better
I wouldn't trade Rykna for the world

I did check out a Sioux/English Dictionary to better understand the movie "Dances with Wolves". Very beautiful language. Look forward to seeing pics of the new kids

They'll be arriving tomorrow via FedEx. I've put in for 4 hours off, so I'll be getting off of work by 11:30 a.m. to sit and wait. Water's set up to supplement the tank after acclimation. I'm excited!!
