Some pictures from this evening after the horses had their dinner...sorry for the blurry ones, I wasn't close enough for the close up setting.

I keep forgetting to post this, and want to do it now that I'm thinking of it. I am SO glad that I got my own RO filter for my tanks!! It's amazing the time saving element this has afforded me, plus the piece of mind knowing where my water is really coming from. With upkeeping 2 tanks at a total of 83 gallons and doing 10-15% water changes in each weekly, plus top offs...wow, it's right up there with my refractometer.

WOW!!!! I love your gorgs!!!!! Looks like the girls like them as well, and the xenias a pretty too.

Yeah I agree with you on the RO subject. That's the next purchase on my list.

Appache in particular has really taken a liking to the gorg. In the picture of both girls, you can see she's scoping out a little piece of mysis that's on the rock that the gorg is attached to. She kept making her way down without actually letting go until she could finally just slurp it up...sometimes they're just too funny...

Any word on why so many icons are gone?

Cute!!! I love watching them hunt. I was trying to find a soundtrack of "Jaws" so I could attach it to one of the dinner episodes.
As for icons...I can only guess that is makes the website easier to maintain...not sure...I have noticed that quite few of the selections for posting are missing. Maybe someone misused them...I don't know...I really miss the happy fish, and the "I'm thinking" smiley.

Ahhhh, did a nice 5 gallon change in my reef just now...love it when that's taken care of, and so do my fishies and corals.

The only corals that I have in the sh tank are those pictured above...colt coral, zenias, mushrooms, and the gorgonian. Appache is SO happy that gorg went in...she loves it.
Is it just me, or can you actually hear feather caulerpa growing??? I'm posting some pictures here, the first from when I put the macro cups into the tank (4 days ago!!!) , and the second and third pics were just taken tonight...get a load of this!!
LOL...

I tried numerous times to get some decent shots of this, but the lunars were on. I tried the flash on the camera, lights in the room, everything I could think of, but this was the best pic I got...
Appache and Navajo snuggled into the gorg together tonight to sleep...I just thought it was incredibly cute.
Sorry...this is the only pic that turned out even somewhat, and it's still pretty crappy, but you get the idea...my girls...

I do hear it!
Caulerpa roots VERY strongly/deeply to rock, so you are so wise to keep it contained, as you have. It is wonderful stuff and I think you have hit upon a great thing.
These baskets can be very usefulfor many things....yep, the thinking icon!

Thanks PonieGirl,
Yeah, that stuff is nuts!! I couldn't believe that's only after 4 days!! I love that stuff, but I'm going to have to watch it to make sure it doesn't take over everything. Like you said though, having it contained might just be the answer.
So...did you get to the dollar store to forage for something that'll work as well?

No, not yet! And I will look for just that sort of basket, I think.
I will be ready for seahorses again in another season, I think.
My tank currently houses one 7 year old tomato clown, one 3 year old chromis, a year old mandarinfish and two one year old (getting too big) red cigar wrasse.
The wrasse will have to be sold.
The tomato, the chromis and the mandarin have all lived with seahorses previously.
The wrasse are just too large. They have, however, kept the tank clean.

I agree Ryk.
Nothing new to report today except that the gorg is suddenly the hitch of choice at bed time. I will try to get a decent pic of that...they're so cute snoozing together on their gorg.
Oh! and...this morning both Appache AND Navajo were out and about waiting for breakfast...baby steps. Navajo has found the caulerpa and thinks it's pretty neato. She was busy hunting in the algae cups this morning.
I just got done setting up water for a change in their tank to take place on Saturday...5 gallons.
Other than that, nope, nothing new. I love my horses.

Thanks Ryk, I'll share with you till you have your own again.
Nothing new tonight, just wanted to check in. My girls have been changing to a silver color since late in the first week that I've had them, from what I've read that's a good sign that they're happy in their new environment. Hope so.
