Because of this.
Collins and Reid wrote that comments on Thursday by FOX News Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes, when he jokingly compared Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, the junior senator from Illinois, to Osama bin Laden, "went too far," ..........
"We cannot, as good Democrats, put our party in a position to defend such comments," the letter said. "In light of his comments, we have concluded that it is not possible to hold a presidential debate that will focus on our candidates and are therefore cancelling our August debate. We take no pleasure in this, but it is the only course of action"
These are quotes from the democratic party Nevada.

With those things, there are people still tragically homeless and starving. Those things only help keep people down. You'd think after a 50 "war of poverty" waged by a democratic congress, president, Years of welfare, medicare, government handouts, there wouldn't be any poor people anymore.

You can't call Bill Oreilly actual media, his show IS an op-ed. And he doesn't hide the fact that it is his OPINION. The difference between Bill Orielly and say Dan Rather, Jennings, Williams, is that Orielly doesn't LIE and say he is "objective." That being said, orielly is hardly a true conservative either, he kind of beats to his own little drum. And that is the difference between Fox and the other guys.

See this is the perception the mmedia and democrats create for you. But do you truly know anyone that requires all those things personally to get by? If you do, what life choices did the make to get them in that situation? stop and think about it for longer than a moment and don't let "emotion' cloud the situation.
Yes some of it is life choices and some of it is situational. Regardless of what you may think... some states have almost 8% unemployment or averages much higher than the national one.
My perception is my own one, not one that was created by a party. Is yours? Life is about choices, but we also need to help people who made the wrong choices and get them back above water. I don't agree with a welfare state that gives people just enough and keeps them in there current position. I believe the system can be improved... But I also believe it is neccessary. I do know people who need those things to get by. I am glad we had an increase in minimum wage. It was needed given everything costs twice as much now. The problem with the welfare system is that people can make more on it than they can at many jobs. To improve it we need to address the root cause of it which is the economy and education. There will always be a need, but we can greatly reduce the numbers.

looked great at the Academy Awards. and I later found out it was Jack Nicholson.
It is true that just in the last two weeks Hillary Clinton has had over 200 phone calls telling her in order to win the presidency she must stay on the road for the next two years. It is not true they were all from Bill.
And it is true that Barack Obama is on the move. I don't know if it's true that President Bush called Musharraf and said, 'Why can't we catch this guy?'
Clearly he was joking. Now, the fact that you didn't realize the Dems have avoided Fox News and have resorted to digging up this is moderately sad. Still, would you like for me to dig up some comments by the heads of other news media attacking the Republicans?

I wouldn't vote for a G.O.P. candidate running for presidency, even if it was Jesus Christi himself representing.

And some states have much lower unemployment... that's what makes 5% a national average...

Just like you can't call Colbert real media, yet many people get their news from these sources.

If a GOP candidate wins again feel free to move to France where the socialist plans being promoted by the Dems are already failing....

right, my point is that you will not find 15 signs in every community or people who are qualified to fill open jobs.

I know the dems have avoided FOX news... but you can dig up anything you want that is pertinant to the topic. I would like to see candidates stop running from all these places.. I think its important for them to speak to all audiences... but it does need to been done without attacks.

Nope, not going to move. I'm going to stay in America and exercise my right to protest against complete and utter stupidity.
The republican party should be dismantled.

No not true... there will always be a need... but as I said... this is a bandaid that doesn't address why people are poor. Our education and aspects of economy need improved.

In post #373 you didn't.
And that's one of my chief complaints about how you post in threads like this Ryan. You throw out things that are completely false and then move on when you are corrected. You've done that multiple times on this thread...
I love people posting their opinions, but for Heaven's sakes they need to be based on facts.

And the Dems should be jailed for treason...
I suspect this kind of talk will get us nowhere.

One of the greatest factors of poverty for all races in thsi country has nothing to do with education or the economy. It has to do with women trying to raise children in fatherless homes. This, to a large extent, is based solely on personal choice.
Blaming education is also a weak argument as the public education system has produced a lot of very successful people.
It comes down to personal responsibility. The Republicans believe in it and the Dems want to transfer it to the government.

I meant Fox not Fox News... what other times have I been corrected? The statement in #373 whas also a question. Because I wasn't sure But I thought there was a debate on Fox this week with both parties, that was reaired on CNN.
I have made some corrections that weren't readdressed like the silly thing with heretic and radical.
Sharecropping
Not sure what other things.. MLK vs Robert E Lee... people compare an agent for unity to an agent for division and say the later was a hero..sure there are more.
