The pond is awsome dont worry about the wall or the people talking about it they dont mean any harm by what they say, they are just hasleing you. keep up the good work
Think of it this way - if the wall painted that color - keeps your wife happy - and you still get your shark pond - it's a win-win situation.
As I said before - Kudos.
And two thumbs up.
I wouldn't go with plywood - instead try the padding that used for koi ponds.
the padding is good for keeping the plastic liner off the concrete floor.
WOW!!! That'awesome AC!!!!! When do you think you'll acutally start filling it???? Can't wait to see the sharks in there.
Say....what kind of substrate are you planning to use???
I'm not sure of the filling time frame. I've got a lot of detail stuff to do with the filtration setup. The substrate will be a fine sand. Here's another picture of the progress today.
Sweet.
I've heard that it possible to pick up beach sand at Home Depot or Lowe's. But still it you should also mix some live sand or aragonite with it.
At lowes they sell quickrete sand and from a thread is started a while back, AW2 along with another person said that their playsand comes from the ocean.
you could always get nice big framed pictures of the ocean and/or sharks and put em up to kinda tone out the purple.. but its looking good...looks like a jacuzzi. great job
