That stinks. But that is the biggest reason why I don' t own one. I've heard they're a b*tch to catch if there is an issue as well since they can fit into small crevices in the rocks. Good luck!

It was like he knows he has monsterous teeth, swam in front of me opened he mouth really wide showing his bite.
Now my hand is a bit timmid 2 go in tank........ :laughing: (yeah right, ill bite him back, if I can catch him)

June 10 Finally some growth!!!!!! 2 days ago I did test my mag and it was all the way down to 1050, so I will be raising that too! I hope that is a lot of the probs with this tank!

With my mag being a 1050, could my mangroves be using them up or would it be only my corals?
Also, does any one know the count on mag in the DD H2O? I did a 20 gallon water change with it today to help raise my mag. I will test it tomorrow for mag, but how good is the DD H2O on mag?

Not sure about the mangroves, how many do you have growing? I don't know too much about mangroves. Thinking about growing them though.
I don't use that Mag test, sorry :-(

Bought 16 mangrove seeds for .99 cents and so far I have 10 that have grown, but 9 of them are in my 55 right now, I'm going to cut it back to 4 when they get better grown out. Selling them 2 my lfs.
Mag tests are expnsive, so I can attest why we don't own them......

Hey, where did you get your mangrove seeds and how did you grow them?

I got them off the bid site for .99 cents and shipping was 4 bucks, got 16 seeds: Here is what they look like now and the set up I used (Styrofoam wit seeds slid in place suspended with a light source 10w grow bulb)


Any one know if they will "eat" the magnesium? I plan on keeping only 4 of them when they grow out a little more.
