So..... I am guessing no one knows if mangroves are using the magnesium then??? I am trying to figure out why the huge drop (1050) in mag, when I do water chages quite often. Tank isn't overly stocked by ANY means..... I hope its somthing that easy, as a plant..... well plants

I'm going to assume that if this is the only thing that has changed in your tank, than it probably is the mangroves. They do suck up nutrients from the water, and even though they take out the crap (phosphates and nitrates), I'm going to assume they also suck up some of the good stuff too. I know they like iron, but that is about all I really know about them.

Can always rely on you to get me thinking BTL
! THX. I am planning on only running 4 plants in it, as there are 9 in there right now, just letting them grow out a bit before I can get a little trade in cash at LFS.

Is the pre mixed water at 1.025 Sg? If not you may be reducing the amount of mag in your tank.

I only tested DD salinity twice on their pre mix water change, onced when I began DD use, and once when I was getting salinity up. They have 250 maintenance tanks they use this water for, so I'm hopping they keep it in check well..... both times they were on. Maybe it was their Oceanic salt mix...... I just switched in feb...... and I never dosed or tested before May..just biweekly water changes... hated doin it.....

I've never owned one, but I heard that they eat fish.

........ I've read that, but then I've read they don't. I lean towards opertunistic...... they don't move, also they are prodominitly filter feeders. Somthing drifts in there, I bet they would consider eating it..... I talked to my fish about it..... so I say I gave them a fair warning  !!!!!

I like it!
Thx! Yeah, so do I..... now lets hope I don't kill it..... I have lost 2 LTA in this tank......... I have a mini carpet thats getting picked on by Emrald zilla (a huge emerald crab)..... So this tank and anemone's is poor... I hope I can get this one together! I have had my seabae in my 24g for 3 years, but I can't sustain one in this tank for the life of me. Maybe I will do better with it because it's not a true anemone
.

Can I see a pic of your sebae?? I love sebae anemones, and I want to compare a 3 year old sebae to my 9 month old sebae.

And as requested ..... multipal hrs later......my cramped seabae... in my 24g..... I would immagine its 9-11 in across if it could fully open.

One is a top dow the other is from the front. Shes in a hard to photograph spot... due to the JBJ's rounding in the corner and that is where shes sitting.
