LOL! I thought you may appreciate Peter Potamus... He was on a cartoon back in the 60s and appeared again in the early 2000s on the Harvey Birdman show... His line was ... "did you get that thing I sent yah?"... and if the guy didn't, he'd get really p!ssed off... That, and he was good with the ladies. LOL. Anyways, that's the first thing that came to mind. Probably not the best choice.

Kole tang still won't eat and the mouth is about the same as it was this morning. I'm keeping nori in there constantly, for him to figure out how to munch on. I'm holding out hope on him. I'll be sick if he dies. He's swimming around and doing his thing, acting like there's nothing wrong. I don't want to take him out and put him in the tiny tank and stress him out even more... But, I just don't really know what to do about it at this point. Some people on another site have suggested a freshwater dip, but I really think that stresses a fish out beyond belief.

Dude let him be. My tangs do that time to time and nature takes care of it itself. As long as its still grazing and acting like a tang should it should heal.

Are you cutting or ripping the nori into strips so it will be easier for him to get with his mouth being the way it is???
are you doing any frozen mysis?

Thank you, thank you. :D all it takes is patience. :D
I am so tired of looking at LED stuff. My head is swimming. I remember back in the day when it was so easy to just buy some CFL's and retrofit them together and call it a lighting system. LOL.
I won't be buying another fish until I get my LED system bought. Maybe then I'll buy a few more fish.
My hands are kinda tied on the whole deal until I can get some light over my tank. :(

Do it!! Lol. I' installing just 10 more whites on my system for now. I'm going to keep the other 10 whites and 10 extreme royal blues as just as safe's keeps. But am going to get more lens for my blues because they sure make a HUGE difference.

I'm ordering my T5's this afternoon! :D I'm ordering half the lights this week and maybe half the next, depending.
Instead of waterproof end caps - like what I wished to get, I'm settling for some shunted twist end caps and will put up a splash shield on the ends. It should be a great system until I upgrade to LEDs in the future.
I'm anxious to get in my first order of SPS corals here in the next month or two.
I'll be siphoning out all of my oolitic sand and replacing it with some course grade sand from the LFS here in a few days... one cup at a time. Tedious, but it's worth it. My oolitic sand is blowing around way too much - and I am unsatisfied with it.

I was worried that you wouldn't be happy with that sand....sorry to hear it, but you've got the right idea. A little at a time, and eventually you'll be back to where you want to be.
Man, I saw Richard's DIY light setup, and it was BEAUTIFUL. Can't wait to see what he does with the extra lighting. Myself, I'm going to add a couple red stunner LEDS on a strip to complement the fixtures I have.

Rick - You should make a strip of your own dude... it's really not expensive at all. Your tank is 4ft long so it should take more then 50 bucks to make yourself a strip which are WAY more better then stunners.

Sorry, when I said "Stunner," I was referring to a DIY, not the actual Stunner that you can buy. No, I'm not spending that kind of dough. ;-)

Yeah, I regret it now, but whatever. I'll get some new sand in soon. I just have to have the money available - which is what this whole game is about. lol.
That's cool, I know that LEDs can be very beautiful. I have seen a few LED setups over tanks in person and I was quite impressed. I'll be going with a DIY led kit and building it over the Summer when I have much more time to do it right. Right now I just want to get better lighting over my tank so that I can actually start getting something in it to look at and start buying some frags here and there.

Oh, and
about the tang's lip!
Yeah, I'm very happy that he's pulled through. I keep adding nori to the tank a little every day and it's disappearing over the course of 24 hours, so I am assuming that he is eating well.

Even though I am going with T5s for the moment, I think I will actually buy one of these little strips anyways, just to try to add some shimmer to the tank. Why not, right?

Seth - Don't waste your money. It's so little in power you barely see the shimmer unless it's on by itself and at night time when you are really looking at your tank for them.
t5 will most likely drown that shimmer.
