Thanks!
With my phosphate reactor leaking, it actually freed up a small pump to use for my auto top off system. So, i have that back online and was able to turn my skimmer back on. My diablo pulled out a bunch of gunk over the weekend. Im happy.
My local grocery store sells "clam juice". I bought a bottle of it. I dont know what to do with it now. Im tempted to test it in the tank. Any suggestions?

Does it say it has them? Preservatives I do wonder what the application is though, soaking fish food , wide spread food? Is it similar to garlic

Ingredients: Clam juice, (water, extract of clams) salt. Refrigerate after opening.
There aren't any preservatives besides salt... salt is NaCl, sodium chloride which is quite abundant in our tanks...
Could potentially be used it DIY fish food recipes, or used as a food supplement for corals, maybe? I'm thinking $2 for clam juice at the store, or $20 of "zooplankton additives" refrigerated at the live fish store...
Anyone have any insight into this Bumblebee clam juice extract?

I purchased a tripod and a remote shutter release for my DSLR camera. :D I took some shots.
Can anyone out there ID this bugger?

A nice large colony of GSP that was sold as "medium" for $40!

I shot this pic with the flash on so that you might be able to see the green tentacles with the blue tip nematocysts on this torch coral....

And finally, I thought it would be interesting to post a pic of my wife and I in front of the tank, since I did buy that remote shutter and all...

And yes, I know my shirt is dirty. I work for a living.

Lol. I added some tonight. :)
We will see in the morning if my tank crashed.
I am testing my water tomorrow and adjusting it as necessary.

Cool cool. Doubt it will crash but it will be nice to see if the filter feeders like it huh?
For the past year we have been making our own fish food and our fish are very healthy, I then started making my own coral food. Now I have to sell, frag, or move many of my corals because they are taking over my 56. I have to do something with that encrusting jedi mind trick, it's really taking off and I HAVE to learn how to frag it. Might have to bite the bullet and break the rock. Point is....... you may have the same luck with the clam juice.

Yeah, montipora love zooplankton. No wonder they are growing well for you.
Fragging an encrusting montipora is pretty easy, as long as it isn't encrusted onto the bottom glass... lol. Just take it out of the tank and take a hammer and chisel to it. Easy peesy.
No tank crash as of this morning. My C. racemosa has practically doubled in size overnight. My skimmer didn't pull anything. Weird.

Yup. Looks really good. Looks like your softies are going to take over your tank you better start thinking upgrade. Lol. How much you want to bet that your electrical cords in your stand is making Shawn have a coronary!!!!! Lol.
I've got a guy near by that is selling mangroves for $5 a pc. I really want to get some but not sure if I should wait. I want some diversity in my fuge this time that's for sure.

Are you vodka dosing?? Or do you just keep your stash under the tank?? It looks like you have a bottle of booze next to your sump in the second pic. LOL.
