Ok; so Huntington Beach peaked at 109 today. (The hottest I can remember it ever getting was 95 (I've also lived here for 24 years)). So Luckily I had a dentist appointment at 4, so I got home from work early; and started adding ziplock baggies of ice to my tanks. Its now 104 outside.
 
The tank was at 86 and climbing when I got home; and I've gotten it back to 84 in about an hour. I know that the tank will be ok as long as I can keep it from going above 86.
 
Anyways just figured I'd share what was going on in my neck of the woods(er beach; hehe). Unfortunatley I don't have AC; so I'm going to have to keep adding ice bags to the tank until about 9 pm tonight I think.

It worked out; I don't think I had to add anymore ice that evening and I left the lights off in the tank for the rest of the day. The tanks doing great! I just changed my chemi pure and phosban bag out over the weekend. Nothing particularly new though. Just a full tank

Thanks Nano - yeah they never paid that much attention to the nem that I had for more than a year. Now they just love the frogspawn; I think its got about 7 heads on it now.

Ok so did a bit of a tank overhaul today. Using my unused 15 gallon tall I transferred out almost all of my corrals and live rock from the tank in order to do a lil bit of rearranging and "dusting" around the tight spaces. Got rid of a few hand fuls of hair algae, and maybe about 30 mushrooms.
I had to do the rearranging to make more room for my montipora, it had grown so high up that it was starting to pop out of the water.
Anyways here's a new FTS, enjoy

yah, if the cost of shipping wasn't like $30 I would send every one a frag, lol I broke off two peieces yesterday while moving things around, and gave them to my pico tank.

Looks really great. I am hoping that the last one I placed will take the same shape as that one. I placed it low in the tank and I can see some upward turn of the edges. Will keep finger crossed.
