I dont know much about fuges..
I cheated and just bought a HOB one haha.. just filled with with some sand, cheato and rock added a pump and good to go lol.
I recently started to stuff filterfloss in the intake and return pumps of the fuge for extra filtration. I also put phosphate remover pads in the first compartment.
But like I said I'm just doing my own thing haha

So just checking in on my tank today I noticed my clowns doing something I've never seen them do before. It seems that my clowns are hosting with my brain! I know they like to host all types of stuff but my brain really? My clown gobie likes to use the brain as a seat and he dropped right on top of it and the male clown sort of pushed him out and chased him off a bit
.
On top of that I found these on my mag float, I'm guessing they are eggs from my nassariuses

I also found these, are they eggs or some type of sponge? I know my sexy shrimp hang out on those torch stalks

Anybody got the IDs for these two pics?

On the 2nd pic...if you are talking about the white under the rock...YES it is sponge
I thought you were talking about a red spot on the rock HAHA

Ahh dude, if they are snail eggs just wait til the male starts spraying his "milk" everywhere!! When I had a 3 gallon at my office my orange trochus sprayed the tank (while 10 co-workers watched in amazement). I had to take him out because he wouldn't stop and the tank would not clear. I put him in a foam cup and sure enough, he clouded the heck out of that.
It was very cool to see. Kinda weird but cool!

He was so angry about getting kicked off his brain he thought he would look better on here and spite the clowns

I love the green and the citron ones....they have those lines on their faces...the little yellows don't
