Wow, this thread is huge!!! :scared:
BUT, I have made it to the end. A huge thanks to Squidd, Leona, Acrylic151 and the many others who contributed!!
I now have sufficient knowledge to plan out my plumbing/Sump/Fuge. I will be sure to bring my plans to the table for approval from all of you great and knowledgable helpers....
I would also like to say....that it would be awesome if we could all combine notes, diagrams, and brains.....and perhaps assemble a webpage with important plumbing/misc design information, formulas and diagrams. I have a hosting account and would be glad to host it and contribute time/effort with others to create the pages. Anyone interested? Let me know....this information is golden!!

Thanks again!!!!!

If you all want to try and reassemble the pictures and diagrams that "were" once here, we can archive the finished product.
And, if you want to do something as suggested above, we could probably archive it as well.

We would need the ability to go back and "edit" our old posts....
Then we could add the pictures, diagrams,etc... to the appropriate post...assuming we have them saved on our computers...

It was my understanding that we are unable to edit things from before the 'switch'.
Is this correct?
I was thinking along the lines of a new thread that was more to the point....with formulas and recommendations. Maybe less question asking(not like questions are bad). It would be nice to have a ....ahem...*cough*... smaller thread that was a bit easier to find what ur lookin for.

Well, this is true. But then what happens if we would of had to go back and clarify anything that someone doesn't understand. we would be back at square 1

If someone takes the time to prepare all the posts ahead, and post them all at once, then the thread can start with a textbook, and end with questions. The beginning would still be digestable, and you could stop reading at the question section if you want.

Can't you edit "your own posts" and post your pictures??

Yep, you are right..duh on me!
Well, if the "contributers" to the actual hobby info in this thread wants to cut and past text into a NEW Thread and then re-load your pictures, I would be glad to sticky the project in progress to the top of this forum as you work on it, and then move the final product over to the Archives.....We can also leave a copy here for continued postings, and even update the Archive as needed.
Let me know how I can help. Great Thread and it should be kept for easy access by hobbyists. Squidd....and the rest of you, up to you all!

It's a nice thought, but then we'd have to have everyone in "sync" to C&P "their" responce to the previous post, so the next one made sence...

It's also a nice thought to write a "book" ...
But the beauty of this thread as a "learning experiance" is the interaction and clarification...
The "book" would layout "Everyone get a 120 gallon tank...Everyone get a 50 gallon Fuge...Everyone set a 25 gallon sump..Everyone get a Mag 24..."Everyone...."etc...
But that's not for "everyone"...
While setting "Goals" and "guidelines" IS part of my "system"...we need the ability to adapt and change and use what's available...then "Tweak" the system to make it all come out...
THATS the beauty of it...

Yep, it will take some doing, though not all posts are essential, I don't think. Alternatively, you and key others can put a new thread together with the important aspects of this info thread: 101 Plumbing. Not a dublicate of this thread, but a take-off of it with all the info-elements of plumbing.
Up to you all. If you decided to do it, just let me know so I can sticky it. In the meantime, I'll keep this one up at the top as long as its active.
