The next victim . . er I mean willing participant . . is in good hands.
I've learned a boat load of info from this thread!
I have even quized my children about pizza sizes. Which has more? 2-10 inch pizzas or 1-15 inch? (Flow rates from 2-1 inch lines to 1-1.5 inch line) They got it right but they had to REALLY do the math!
Please continue with class. . . .

Don't discourage her! I want to see the pictures, and if she's been working hard on the tank, she doesn't have time to make the perfect settings for them.

I only poke fun because I love...

This thread has helped me immensely, and I'm sure it's the same with many others out there.

Well I finally started siliconing my sump/fuge been kinda crazy around here and haven't had the time or the emf to do anything also money.
I glued "B" and "F" and later I plan on siliconing the rest of the peices.

I'm not totally sure, but I think A is backwards in your taped in picture. I think the notch should be at the bottom in the pic so the flow goes from the bottom chamber, under and over the baffles to the top chamber were the pump is.
Edit:
Never mind, I looked at it again... the bottom is the return chamber, not the top... it is correct.

Hi Leona. Squidd has been helping me in another thread with a lot of what's been going on in this thread. He's been great. Anyways, I am getting my tank from glasscages next weekend and have a question for you. The bulkheads that they gave you, are they threaded or slip connections? I'm just wondering because I want to get all the parts I need to build my standpipe and the connection needed there is the only one I can't figure out. Thanks!

It's ok I forgive you this time. Plus you would have to talk to my plumber (teacher) I'm only following the lesson plan.

I'm pretty sure they are threaded but honestly I'm not real sure. Do you mean that (how can I say this clean and lady like?) one has the female threads and the male threads and they "thread" together?

If so yes they are.

Thanks Leona. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what I mean :) If it were slip, the bottom of the pipe would slide into the top of the bulkhead, as opposed to having to twist into it, which is threaded. It sounds like it's threaded. Thank you!

Hey Leona just take a pic of the bulkhead and it would give him a definite answer just to make sure!!!!! How's the tank coming?

Last I knew (no personal experience of course) all bulkheads have threaded connections between thier two constituent pieces. It's the connection from there out that could be slip.

I think what was being asked is the bottom end of the bulkhead where you could slip PVC into the bulkhead was it actually a slip or threaded and the same for the top part of the bulkhead... Some bulkheads you will find that on the top you can slide a pipe right inside without any additional fittings and others you will find that you need to get an adapter to connect a pipe......
I've been working hard Leona just a little lazy as far as posting.... I'm almost ready to paint when you guys coming!!!!! Need some color ideas?????
