do you have a macro setting on your camera? that may help with the blurry shots.
Dude that is the macro setting
That's how small they are, no matter I like their coloring and I am sure they will grow nicely in my tank

Just a hint, be at least 2-4 feet away from you tank to take a picture. Zoom in to get a good shot (even if you have to use digital zoom).

That's how I always took mine, but I will try to stand back too and see what comes out better. I always thought my pics were decent, not great but decent, but I just can't focus on the acan.

Its a pain focusing on small items unless u get a 2500 dollar camera set up. A lot of the times my gf will hold the coral right next to the glass then Ill take a good pic of it

Heading out to get Tropic Marin Pro Reef, already got distilled water, and one of local reefers donated a old powerhead
Hoping this will help with the algae.

What kind of salt mix do you use? I have to get a calcium test now that I am getting into coral. What does yours usually read at?

High... 480
I use Coralife salt..
Thinkin I might switch to reef crystals when I set up my 40 just to try something new. But ive never had problems with coralife.

Updates on algea battle?
Still the same at the moment, I didn't really get a chance to pull any out when I did my water change. I wanna try tonight and see how much I can pull out.

This is something new for me too. One thing I noticed right off the bat was when I put the salt in, all of it dissolved almost instantly, it was impressive. I was expecting it to be cloudy for a little while but it was clear in about 5 seconds, with no leftover salt deposits at the bottom of my bucket

Right now my ph is at 8.2, my alkalinity is at 10dkh, and my specific gravity is at 1.026 while my temp stays around 80.5
I have to get a calcium test sometime soon, so I can keep an eye on that as well.
