Just picked up some chaeto for the back. One of my buddies with a tank brought some. I combed through it to make sure there was any calupera and I didn't see any
So it's in the fuge, hopefully that will also help with the algae. The mexican turbo I picked up is housing stuff right now, very cool.
I am keeping an eye on my bicolor though, he seems to be nipping at my duncan which has been closed for 3-4 days now. I don't know if it isn't opening because of the blenny or what. I will definitely be watching it closely though, because it is my favorite coral

Yeah, I don't know what the deal is with him. He goes over to it and nips at the skeleton part, not at the tentacles. I really hope he doesn't have to be evicted, but like I said before corals is the name of the game, if he can't get along away he goes

Is there any algae on the duncan that he is actually nipping at? If so maybe you can pull the duncan and get the algae off then put it back to see if he still goes there.

I don't see any algae on it
I will look again tomorrow when the lights are on. I hope I don't need to get rid of him.

In that case all I can say is a well fed blenny is less likely to disturb other inhabitants.

Have you tried any algae sheets or maybe some of those algae tablets? Was he eating at the store before you bought him? Can you check to see what the store feeds their fish? And of course you knew this could happen right? He may be a rouge and need to be removed. I sure hope not.

I have not tried algae sheets. I will call tomorrow and see what they feed them. I did know that it was a possibility that he could nip but I, of course, was hoping he wouldn't. We shall see I guess.

Yup, you pays your money and you takes your chances in this hobby. You do have a bunch of algae in the tank though. They do like to pick at the tender young stuff though. Maybe something is starting to grow on there. Who knows just keep at it..............

Yeah, I will certainly wait for a while and see what happens. How long do you think the duncans can go for closed up like this?

Just did a water change and pulled a lot more algae out. Pics coming.
Also on a side note, my feather duster is doing some weird stuff. It seems it broke off a couple pieces of its tube. Its hard to explain but the top two portions of his tube are now lying on the ground. He still comes out but now he is much further back in the rocks and a lot harder for me to see. Do you think he was stressed and thats why that happened or is this a normal occurence? First time feather duster owner here, lol.

Here are some pics I just took.
FTS

This was where the algae was probably the worst, as you can see there is still some there, but I got a good amount of it out.

My RDE's which have been covered in algae, yet they still grow like crazy.

Here is the feather duster which is a lot further back in the rocks now, but still looks nice.

Here is a pic of my poor duncans that my blenny won't leave alone.

Everything is going pretty well right now. My corals are doing fine, all except for my duncan. I will figure a solution out this week. I am thinking of getting one of those soap dishes like Blazin had and putting it up near the top of the tank, so the blenny can't get to it. I can't figure out what he is trying to get off of it
Sometimes I do see what looks to be white stringy stuff hanging off of it, any ideas on what it could be?
Sun coral is doing well, especially the black one. My acans are nice and puffed when the lights are on, and so are my blastos
Lots of color, unfortunately my camera doesn't do the tank justice. I want to let everything grow out a little bit so I don't think I will post any pics for awhile. Unless of course I get some newbies
