The tank looks good!!
I would think that the electricity bill would go down at least a bit. Maybe a full year comparison would yield different results. But the new bulb savings can save some big$$.
Thanks! I thought I would see some degree of savings but I have not.

So I got bored and decided to rearrange the tank a bit. The reason was that I could not see my elegance coral. I want to be able to see it front and center. I think I like it. Keep in mind the tank is still a little cloudy.

I like your rock work...it's very blue, is that the camera or do you have them that blue on purpose? (some folks have 20K bulbs) If it is the camera...try taking the picture with actinic off, that helped mine to remove the dark blue just for pictures.
I love the elegance coral, I was always afraid to try and keep one.

Thanks! The blueness is from the LED's. I took the pics when the light cycle was in the dusk phase of the cycle. I will take some pics during daytime.

LEDs...If I ever set up another reef tank I will have to try those. A dusk phase, that sounds so cool.
Do post some daylight pictures so I can see the transition. How wide does the elegance open up?

It can open at least 12 inches. This specimen is BEAUTIFUL in person. I bought it from a local reefer for 80 and he had it for 6 years in his system. There are 4 heads and numerous heads. I have to be very careful handling this guy. I'm allergic to its sting. :(

I bought my camera few years ago for $ 500 from a friend that includes few cheap lenses and accesorries
It's a canon t1i eventually I want a canon mark 1 when things gets better financially.
Btw I love the lemonpeel it reminds me of my mentors 18 years old lemonpeel.

A new camera is definitely missing! lol
There is always something we can add or take away from our tanks. Aquarists are generally never truly happy with their tanks. lol, just in our nature.
