I am not using any of my GOOD stuff...I do not want to take a chance of any bleach remaining on them...so I am doing a lot of this by hand, and with those store bought siphon hoses...Now I am going to take it out side for the rest of the cleaning

I will get 40lbs sand...and 50lbs LR...maybe 60...I can get 50lbs of figi for 99.99...so I may add 10 - 20lbs of base

50 pounds of LR is a good number, 60 will likely be choking the system...
My advice is to forget about the base rock. Btw, live rock at 2 bucks a pound is outstanding.

Yeah I thought so.....I got it at that when I ordered for my 225g...I got some base at .99/lb...the y had some for less to.
A 50lb figi box will cost $99...then of course I have to pay shipping...so it will probably cost $150???? don't know yet still worth it
