Sounds like you're going to have some boring old LPS dominated 29 gallon reef tank.
Wait, why bother to set one up?
I'll trade you mine for your ray tank

LPS dominated ....what do you mean

I think so. They are fish but they breath air. I don't know a whole lot about them, but they're pretty cool! You have to have a beach area for them to lay on...but they also need a lot of water. They are brackish.

Yeah, that would be one concern of mine too lol. I thought they were kinda neat...not nearly as cool as half the saltwater fish you could add to that tank though imo.

You could take a look at my tank thread in the nano section......I had more or less the exact same thing happen except I took my cichlids back to the store for credit because they were outgrowing my tank. There are a ton of options for you if you want to do a reef tank or fish only. 29 gallons are good for species only but definitely not a mantis unless your tank is arcrylic.
Anyway, read through and let me know what you think......

Ordered my rock last night
...went with the 50lb figi box
I will be picking up the LS tomorrow evening...
QUESTION: For a 29G...do you think 2 Koralia 2's will be enough flow?...I have to place my order today, and want to get enough.

Wow. That would actually be a lot. I have a nano and a 1 in my tank. I kind of wish I would have gone with two 1's or a 2 and a 1 but I think that 2 twos would be a bit much. I don't care for the nanos as much because they doesn't adjust as well and have a tendency to fall out if htey are not seated very well. I think that two 1's would be the best.

BTW I read your thread...nice job...
So you think 2's are too much? Any other opinions? (tired of buying stuff I don't need)

Thanks so much!!! I appreciate the compliment....

You could do that much flow but you may have issues with any LPS and getting blown around too hard. What exactly did you decide to do with the tank? If you want SPS, then that would be good. If you want LPS that may not be a good plan. I would say that two 1's would be plenty but like I said it all depends on what you do with the tank.......
