Carbon on the bottom is this ok?

I have the hob overflow running down to a filter sock then I have the middle space whaere it used to be blue sponge now it is the carbon then the pump goes up

Ok after the clarity issue i decided to use some carbon I only have the 2 sided sump so I put it inbetween the two sides Not seeing any flow But the water must pass through it to get through the other side I cannot see flow but it mstbe there is that ok for the carbon to be there?

Ok After yesterday thread of me using tap water may be a problem I bought tap water conditioner Aqua plus tap water conditioner . I put it in as asked and my skimmer went nuts overlfowing non stop I turned it all the way down and it is still over flowing ..Is this normal what DO I do I shut it off

OK I think I may have found the cloudy water problem I have a hob skimmer new I was told to run it open for a few days Which I have i think maybe the dobris is from there I turned it up to skim tonight and the tank started to clear still has some debris but alot less then it was No answer for...

I actually Had the guy in the store Put a piece on there of pvc which I am not sure if you can see which faces the floor so the water comes from the lowest part of the tank

Not sure where I notice if I face the return down in the water the bubbles stop But I am told it is supposed to face the surface to ski the water for movement I have no idea where it could be getting air from as you see it goes down and right up I am posting another video it might not work on...

No sure exactly what you are talking about doing there soinds good but alittle confusing do you have a pic? I was told not to put the skimmer and the return pump in the same chamber it makes micro bubbles. Also the chambers are they going across the tank longways or across the width?

NO bubbles I had them and still have some I use the foam to rid them this looks like dust particles But I only see it on top half of tank

Was yours coming from the skimmer MIne is hob so it seems alot of it is coming from the part where it lets out the extra water
