+1, IMO you folks need to work on the performance issues and speed things up. This system is just too buggy. It took me a bit to just get this post done

Please Pray For My Mom ..

I also lost my mom recently to cancer. My thoughts are with you and your family. I recommend spending as much time as possible with her, remembering the good times. Most importantly letting her know she is not alone and you will be with her till the end. Lastly, let her know what good she has...

    Flame Angel reef safe?

Technically, 99% of angels are not reef safe. Flame Angels are classified as caution. I have a Potters and a Flame in my reef, and they do not pick on any coral, but you never know. If you don't want to take a chance with your coral, then don't do it.

This is a joke( writer is off his rocker)

Please explain your thoughts on ULNS systems using Zeovit or NP BioPellets. UV can be detrimental to these systems, so please explain how you would try to implement UV on such a system. I guess what I am getting at is UV is great but it would depend on what you are doing. I appreciate any...

    APC Back-UPS question

I use APC in my data centre. The batteries will usually last 3-5 years. If you use the monitoring software, it will remind you at the 3 year mark to replace. When the battery is gone, YES!!!! they will start beeping non stop, and the light in the front should change indicating a bad battery. I...

    Anyone familiar with tunze skimemrs?

I don't know where you get 2G's for a Tunze 9010? I had one and it only cost me $440 Canadian. They are a good skimmer, I do believe you get what you pay for and they make a good product. Other goods skimmers that I either currently used or have used are EuroReef and Hydor. These again are very...

    Aquascaping Help

IMO, I would add more rock. Also do you have normal rock/granite in your tank? If so, I would remove those, they will leach minerals and contaminates into your tank that you may not want. Also rock like that are too dense and won't aid in natural filtration of your tank.

    ? about mandrians

I think you might be referring to its feeding. Mine when it is searching for pods will do a quick motion forward and sucks the food in, but then you see a cloud of debris (or white stuff) come out of its head. This is just stuff it pulled in from the gravel, rock or whatever when it went for the...

What's your alls thoughts on Powder Blue Tangs? (PBT)

IMO, your tank is still too new, I would wait. Powder Blues are harder to keep and are very susceptable to ICH. I tried one, when my tank was too new... I lost him. Save your money and wait a bit.

    What do Your clowns Host?

My maroon clown hosts to a green open brain coral... it pisses me off, as it is always sweeping around it with its tail, picking up sand and covering other corals. There is no sand around the coral, sitting on bare glass because of the fish.
