    Actually mine grew at a quick rate. It doubled in size over just a few months. It started smaller than a dime and now is bigger than a .50 coin. Ive had it for almost a year now. It all depends on what you consider slow, I have many colonies of sps and those are slow growers...well some of them...

    Or if you have a large stalk just take a razor blade to a stalk or depending on how big of a frag you want cut accordingly. Then rubber band it to a rock or stab it through with a needle and fishing line to tie it down. Be careful, xenia smells bad

    Ah I did some research and these are in fact young fungia. At a young age it developes on a stalk until it is mature and break off and becomes mobile. The stalk may continue to produce new polyps.

    It is quite weird as I never heard of fungia having a base either.

    Yea it has a skeleton base. I let mine grow then I broke it off as it was stinging my zoos and placed it elsewhere in my tank. Another one grow back in its place and ill probably break that one off as well.

    Thats exactly what I have on my zoos. I broke it off and it grew nicely and another one grew back where I detached it.

    Condis arent natural host for clowns but they have been known to host clowns.
