asm g3 minimum! think asm assigns it a 220 gallon rating,real world suggests 180, not a bad skimmer for not too much money. you could also check into coralife super skimmers,i have one on my 90 reef and it works great!

how big are your fish?? puffers are pretty messy,my opinion is a better filter or at least a better skimmer,before adding anymore.i have a 180,w/wet dry and kent skimmer. large stars and stripes(14") lion and clown grouper,not sure i want to add anymore to the bio load.

geeez i really don't mean to be rude....you can set up a sump for less than 30.00 to get you by.if you can't afford that are you sure this is the hobby for you ???

if they were dry when you bought them,i would take them out and boil them. i would do it before the spores spread to the rest of your tank...

i have both....90 reef upstairs and a 180 fowlr downstairs. i love them both.the 180 only has about 30 lbs of rock in it,whereas the 90 has about 150 lbs. i had to go with both tanks since i really love corals and large aggresive fish. and i didn't think this 11 inch stars and stripes puffer...

ive got a flame angel and have had no problems at all with nipping,he will occasionaly pick arond the base of some of my coral strictly for the algae. he also gets along great with everyone else in the tank. naso,lion,foxface,lb blenny,damsels..i have had him about 3 months and is now about 3...

forgot too mention...keep that skimmer clean....i clean mine every 2-3 weeks
