Not sure what it will look like. But I am setting up a 75 also and have 200 lbs of quickrete sand waiting to put in. I dont know how much I am gonna use in it. But for 13 bucks for 4 bags I just bought plenty. I hope it works well!

Well, I got the back side of the 75 painted black, dead sand waiting, new electric outlet wired. If all my mail order powerheads, test equipment comes I will be ready to move it all into place and get the live rock ordered. Man it sure seems like forever till the ups guy runs...oh well maybe...

Being totally new to this I just need a good place to start. I can always add more, I just dont want to go way over or under power

I am putting together a 75 and am getting ready to purchase power heads. How many do I need and how many gph do they need to be each? Second, can you throttle them back on the flow?

Setting up a new tank and want to get the cycling going. I need to purchase some plain sand that will be seeded with live sand and live rock later after the cycle is working. What sand should I get, I have been overwhelmed at what I have found on line and dont know which to buy?

Ok seems that I am gonna have to order my sand online. I want to get dead sand to start and then get live to seed. What sand should I buy. I have found a ton of different sands but dont know which is the right size. I would like brand names. I will get it from swf.com if they have it.

Ok working down to the bits and pieces of hardware now. What number and what flow power heads for a 75 gal tank. I would like to buy a good brand right up front. What would you suggest?

What test kits will I need to purchase for a fowlr setup. I wish to be able to test all paramaters that I should. I dont want to have to run to the lfs all the time for testing. brand names would be appreciated

After live rock is in tank, what would be the first residents as far as a clean up crew. I am not making any fish plans for quite a while.

Do you only pick you light by the "strength". Would you not also consider the color rendering of a particular lamp? Metal halide has a pretty good CRI, but would you also use another lamp in conjunction with the Mh to get good color?
