I too have used the 32watt retro conversion. I converted a 10 gal 20" striplight, works great, but, i would of liked the lamp to be longer, and a clip to secure the bulb a little better, however all my co workers are enveous

I bought it off of ----, won in auction. Pd $280.00 for it. I have built hoods in the past, and just didn't like the finished look i produced. They also had cooling issues.

I did a little shopping and went to Amazin fish in st. louis park. cool place to check out, good live rock, and fish. Great coral (although a little pricy). Also went to Aqualand (?) just off of exselsior (sp) nice tank prices, both had helpfull people. I haven't found any MH lighting sources...

I bought my tide Pool 2 filter, prefilter/overflow, and a bunch of stuff. It all came in just fine, nothing broke, and the order was correct and complete. I use Pet Solutions for most of my stuff now.

Yes, I too have been there, Chris the owner is a nice kid, he wants to take over the minneapolis area for Marine, Inverts, etc... I have chatted with him many times, he even offered me a part time job. but couldn't do it, I'd go broke.

typically prefilter/overflows are rated for a max GPH, you surpassed yours, I run my 125 with a rio 2500, and added a rio 1700. I am about maxed on the prefilter, and noticed the water level rising about half inch above the intake to the prefilter, if you add additional tubes it may help. 15...
