Last night it was totally smooth- like I said, looked like a jelly bean!

We just got some new frags and one had this strange thing with it! When I first saw it, it looked like a jelly bean. I put it in a cup of saltwater, and this is what it happened over night!! Any ideas?? Good or bad?

Thanks for the advice. They were purchased from a compeitor of SWF (they were awful to deal with- SWF is much better!) When they arrived, half were missing and the other half were almost dead. So I'm trying to save them right now- the ones that were still alive are doing MUCH better! Thanks...

The dust is all over the LR....nothing boring into rock that I know of. Also, coraline has turned white. I use 260 watts lighting, 2-65 W actinic and 2 65 Watt sunlight.

Hi, has anyone had a problem with LR deteriorating leaving a ton of fine dust on the rock? Makes a mess in the tank. Is there something that can be done or is this normal. Water quality is good. LR has been in tank over 4 months. Any suggestions?

SC- The anemone is in my tank in an effort to save it's life!!! My dad's tank crashed about three weeks ago- everything died except the anemone. They've touched each other but nothing has happened- yet. It seems no matter how far away I move the colt it finds a way to get back to the anemone.

Will my anemone and Colt sting each other? My anemone has recently found a home close to the Colt- they both seem fine now but I am concerned about the long run. Any thoughts?

All fish and corals look fine to me. I've recently had an outbreak of algae and cyano bacateria, however trying to fix it by controling the lighting. Thanks for the advice on the test kit, I thought that was strange, too!

I just tested my tank and came up with a PH of 8.5 and Alkalinity as "high" (my test kit catagorizes it into low, medium and high). Salinity is 1.025, Calcium 450, Ammonia 0, Nitrate 0 and Nitrite 0.05. Should I be worried about the Ph and Alkalinity levels?

It's definetly black. It's growing on sand, rock and tank in low flow area. All tests have come back perfect- tested daily.

I've had my tank running for about 4 months. I have a few feather dusters, clown fish, anenome and snails. In the past few weeks I have had an outbreak of blackish algae. The snails wont touch it and it's growing at a pretty decent rate. Any non-chemical suggestions to get rid of it?
