Try being friendly with your local fedex delivery guy. I personally give them holiday tips, they handle all my packages with extreme care since they know by now all my packages are usually live goods. If you are concerned still have your order delivered to your local Fedex station, then pick it...

If you don't have proof why should they credit you ? I had a Chevron Tang that didn't make it I sent it back followed the 15 day guarentee instructions, in 1 week I was credited for the $100. They didn't hassle me and didn't ask for pictures.
