I am thinking of getting hospital tank for hyposalinity. How do you cyle it? I can't just used live rocks/sand. Hyposalinity would kill the live rock into base rock. So what can keep the ammonia, nitrite and nitrate down?

I don't have a clown fish, yet. Just the goby. Damn that's sucks. Pygmy Angelfish are the smallest anglefish right?

How much would a 100 gallon tank, heater, filter, everything, cost? I am talking the whole set (Not counting live rock or sand)

There is all this slimy strings coming off my coral. It's everywhere! And specks of white/brown crap in the water, and on the rocks. My live rocks looks gray. Like dust is on them. Would a clean up crew of blue leg hermit crabs and snail help? Also there's fleas on my tank! Well brown needle...

Would a Pygmy Angelfish be safe in a 12 gallon Reef tank? Along with an Percula clown fish, and Golden Headed Sleeper Goby?

This lady told me her husband brought a 50 gallon tank. Then added sand, live rocks, coral, and fishs, all at once. A fish would die every week. When one fish die they replaced it with an new fish. So they gave up. Can you image how much money they lost?!

Awsome fish! That's alot of fish to add at once, just check your water quality weekly, then I am sure everything would be fine.

Yesterday I found out my salt level was 1.026. Add a little fresh bottle water. Now it's 1.021 It's still close! It's looks a little fuller then a couple days. I saw it feeding at night. What should I do?! It's been close for 5 days!

Blue leg hermit crabs eat anything. Leftover food, algae, waste, ect. They clean your coral without hurting it. I have 5-10, and my rocks improve in a day. I needed to get more snails.

If it doesn't smell then I don't it's dead. Like theam2jndd I suspect maybe bacteria. Wish you the best!
