funny thing you wrote this after two weeks I am thinking of doing the same thing.... The sand looks SO SO SO much better, and if you dont have to vacuum it, it is even more attractive to me..... I have like 50 lbs in my 55 gal tank... So when you add the sand, do you remove the LR from the tank...

Thanks for the input... right now I am running my new Fluval 404 and the new wet/dry protein skimmer fiulter hang ou thing I got today.... I think that should be more then enought for a 66 gal tank, right?

Well I went to my LFS today to buy a protein skimmer, and the owner told me about how my new Fluval 404 was a piece of garbage, he then suggested the wet dry filter with protien skimmer,so I bought it ( he had the Aqua c for like 189, the combo was like 230 so for the extra 50 bucks I went for...
