I have about a 2inch sand bed in my 55 gallon and I would like to increase its volume. Will adding more live sand cause my tank to cycle again?

55 gallons...I dont plan on getting any other coral so I dont believe the lights would be a smart investment at this time. More live rock is my first concern.

My puffer loves clams, however I've been scooping them out prior to to seeing this thread. Anyway, I put the clams in my freezer so they would stay "fresh" or so I thought...would they be considered dead now? I didnt know clams were still alive when they were sold...learn something new everyday.

Tank is currently 55 gallons. I see that some flounders get rather large but I thought I crossed one that only grew to about 6 inches. Anyway it sounds like a flounder might be better on T316's plate than in the DT.

My LFS has flounders and they are very cool fish. I would like to purchase one if they are compatible with my tank. Has anyone ever tried to keep a flounder? Are they difficult to keep in a home aquarium? Are they prone to diseases? What do they eat? Compatibility?

Yesterday I am sitting in front of my tank (luckily!!) and I hear water spilling out of my tank ! I have a hang-on cpr protein skimmer and it was overflowing! I quickly shut it down to investigate the issue. It just so happens that one of my turbos crawled up into the outlet pipe and blocked...
